1 Abou t the A ccessEt herLi nX/4 The Acc essEtherLi nX/4 Seri es enables service providers to offer differentiated data networking or VPN services to multi-tenant building and business custome rs.

11 Configur ing VLAN IDs The AccessEtherLin X/4 is VLAN compat ible, with the ability to a ccept traffic cont aining 802 .1q VLAN tags on the Up link port and direct th at traffi c to the twi sted pair downlink ports. When using VLAN IDs, the SNMP m ust be assigned an ID, the management and ping features will not be available .
12 NOTE SNMP can only be associated with one VLAN grou p. Tags cannot be enabled on SNMP traffic. Users can assign each po rt plus SNMP a priority in the VLAN D efinition screen.
13 When using dlse cure mode, configure the Upli nk port for Ta gs in order for i t to acc ept VLAN tag ged traf fic. Assi gn up to 15 VLAN IDs to th e Uplink port and then assign one of those V LAN IDs to eac h Downlink port and SNMP.

Within i View², select Tools/SNMP Options from the navigation to olbar. Select Update Ma nager Opti ons , and a dialog box will be displayed, in which you can select when to run the update search.
