12 Selecting Thread and Needles For general sewing, use needle size 11/75 or 14/90. A fine thread and needle should be used for sewing lightweight fabrics, so the fabric will no be marred. Heavy fabrics requires a needle large enough to the fabric without fraying the needle thread.

18 r q w t e qw qw qw Adjust the needle thread tension for a zigza g stitch F or an ideal zigzag stitch, the bobbin thread does not show on the right side (T op side) of the f abr ic , and the needle thread shows slightly on the wrong side (Bottom side) of the f abr ic.
19 • Changing sewing direction Stop the machine and bring the needle down into the f abr ic by pressing the up/do wn needle positionl button. Raise the presser f oot. Pivot the f abr ic around the needle to change sewing direction as desired. Lower the presser f oot.
