10 – English ASSEMBL Y Assembling the cutting equipment Fitting the trimmer guar d and trimmer head • Attach the cord cutter (A) to the trimmer guard using two M5x16 screws , locking washers and n uts as shown. • Fit the guard (B) to the gear housing (C) using the suppor t plate (D) and two scre ws.
English – 11 FUEL HANDLING Fuel safety Ne ver star t the machine: 1 If you ha ve spilt fuel on it. Wipe off the spillage and allo w remaining fuel to e vaporate . 2 If you ha ve spilt fuel on y ourself or your clothes , change your clothes . W ash any part of your body that has come in contact with fuel.
12 – English FUEL HANDLING Mixing • Alwa ys mix the petrol and oil in a clean container intended f or fuel. • Alwa ys star t by filling half the amount of the petrol to be used. Then add the entire amount of oil. Mix (shake) the fuel mixture. Add the remaining amount of petrol.
English – 13 ST AR TING AND ST OPPING Chec k before starting • Check that the trimmer head and trimmer guard are not damaged or crac ked. Replace the trimmer head or trimmer guard if they hav e been e xposed to impact or are crac ked. • Ne ver use the machine without a guard nor with a def ective guard.

English – 15 W ORKING TECHNIQ UES Grass trimming with a trimmer head T rimming • Hold the trimmer head just above the g round at an angle. It is the end of the cord that does the work. Let the cord work at its own pace. Nev er press the cord into the area to be cut.
