3 Introduction The numbers re fer to the pages in w hich the parts are explained. *1 The [PHONES] terminal is for connecting a pair of h eadphones equ ipped with a ster eo plug (not supplied). When the headphones are connected, the speakers do not produce any sound.

5 Prep arat ion Setting up the AM loop a ntenna Connecting the AM loop antenna T urn the AM loop antenna to find the best position for radio reception. NOTE • Make sure that the antenna conductors do not touch any other terminals. This could cause po or reception.

11 Prep arat ion ■ Selecting the voltage for you r area Before connecting the power cable of the sub- woofer to an AC outlet, you must set the corre ct voltage for your area. Slide the volt age selector on the sub- woofer to the correct volt age for your area.

15 Prep arat ion NOTE • Signals input from the [LINE IN 1] and [LINE IN 2] terminals are not output to the [LINE OUT] ter- minal. ■ Selecting the analog output level of the [LINE OUT] terminal Y ou can low er the analog output level to prevent the system from producing unn ecessarily loud sound.

19 Basic operations Press [DIMMER]. • Each time you press [DIMMER], the display changes in the display window as fo llows. - “DIMMER 1” The display window becomes darker than the normal display brightness. - “DIMMER 2” The display window becomes darker than “DIMMER 1”.
20 Basic operations If no sound is produced for 3 mi nutes, the main unit automatically turns off. This function is ava ilable when a disc/fil e is selected as the source. Y ou cann ot use this function when a radio broad- cast or a device connected to the [LINE IN 1], [LINE IN 2] or [LINE-DIGIT AL IN] terminals is selected as the source.
