7 2.1 S ETTING U P 1. Place the case upright on a flat, stable surface wi th the rear of the case facing you. 2. Remove the side panels by first removing the thumbscrews at the rear of the case. Then, grip ea ch panel at the top and bottom and slide it toward t he rear of the case until it detaches from the chassis.
8 2.3 M OTHERBOARD I NSTALLATION 1. Lay the case down, with the open side fac ing up. The drive cages and power suppl y should be visible. 2. Make sure you have the corre ct I/O panel for your motherboard. If the panel provided with the ca se isn’t suitable, please contact your motherboard manufacturer for the correct I/O panel.
9 2.5 E XTERNAL 5.25” D EVICE I NSTALLATION There are three externally ac cessible 5.25” drive bays. To access these bays, you must first remove the front bezel and drive bay cover: 1. Press on the three tabs pictured to t he left to release the front bezel.
10 3. Lay the VSK-1000 on its side, and hold the drive in place on top of the grom mets. 4. Secure the device to the case with the screws provided, tightening the screws wi th your fingers first, and then the screwdriver. 5. Connect the appropriate pow er and data cables to your device 2.
