4 Hooking up the unit Antenna connection Connect the T errestrial TV antenna (A) to the ANTENNA IN jack on the unit. If you want to use an indoor antenna, use one with a signal amplifier rated at 5V , 100mA and set [Antenna Feed 5V] to [ON] in the setup menu (See page 11 ) .
5 HDMI Connection Connect the HDMI OUTPUT jack (H) on the unit to the HDMI input jack on an HDMI compatible TV using an HDMI cable (V ersion 1.2). Y ou must select a language to use the unit. Use vV b B to select a language then press ENTER and the confirm menu will appear.
10 DRC (Dynamic Range Control) – Make the sound clear when the volume is turned down (Dolby Digital only). Set to [On] for this effect. V ocal – Set to [On] only when a multi-channel karaoke DVD is playing. The karaoke channels on the disc mix into normal stereo sound.
11 Channel Class – This option allows you to set the favorite channel. Use v v V V select the a channel and press ENTER to set the favorite class on each channel (shows Fav icon on top of the screen). Channel Edit – This option allows you to edit the channels.
12 Parental Guidance – Blocks TV programs that you or your family may not wish to watch, based on the rating scheme set. Select a rating then press ENTER . [3 Y ears] - [18 Y ears]: Rating [3 Y ears] has the most restrictions and rating [18 Y ears] is the least restrictive.
