3 Lift both of the ink-cartridge latches. 4G rasp each ink cartridge by its sides and carefully remove the tape from the cartridge’s print head. Y ou ma y sa fe l y touc h the the bl ack p la sti c , but b e c areful not t o t ouch an y other par t.
5S lide the ink cartridges down into the carrier, and then close the latch over each cartridge. Pre ss f i r ml y to snap eac h latc h i nto p lace . 6C lose the printer’s front cover. When you close the cover, you can hear the carrier move to the right.
Loa ding p a per i n t o the p ape r t ra y Th e paper tra y holds up t o 1 50 sheets of 20-pound paper and feeds t h e paper aut omatic all y into t h e printer .
3 Load the paper into the lower tray, print side down. The wr apper that t h e paper come s i n us uall y tell s whi ch s ide t o pri nt fi rst. 4S lide the paper adjusters in to touch the edges of the stack of paper. Slide the paper lengthwise into the tray, print side down.

8I n the Services panel that appears, click the checkbox next to “Align ink cartridges before printing.” 9I n the Services panel, click Print. 10 Read the message that appears, and click Continue. 11 Examine the patterns that appear on the printed page.
