1 Gener al Infor ma tion The Lochin var SDT/SET ser ies indirect water heat er (FIG. 1-1) is desig ned to generate domestic hot water in conjunction with a solar panel using forced circulation with a backup heat source.
5 2 Pre-installation 1. The installation must conform t o the instructions in this manual and all applicable local, state, provincial, and national codes, la ws, r egulations, and ordinances. Installations in Canada must c onform to B149.2 Installation Code.
6 Multiple T ank Connections (Boiler Side) M ultiple tank installations must be done in the “r e verse-r etur n ” manner . The reason for this is to create the same pr essure drop (and therefore, the same flow) thr ough the coil of each tank. The boiler manifold piping must be sized so that each c oil has the flow rate called for in T able 3B.
