Black plate (21,1) q Seat Position Memory One-touch seat position programming and a activation function are availab le on the driver's seat. CAUTION When activating the seat position, do not place your hands or fingers around the seat bottom.

Black plate (24,1) Seat W armer í The front seats are electrica lly heated. The ignition switch must be in the ON position. Press the switch to turn the seat warmer on or off. When the switch is in the ON position, the indicator light will come on. WARNING Ø Be careful when using the seat warmer.
Black plate (25,1) NOTE Use the seat warmer when the engine is running, and do not continue to use it for a long period of time. The temperature of the seat warmer cannot be adjusted beyond High and Low because the seat warmer is controlled by a thermostat.
Black plate (26,1) Seat Belt Precautions Seat belts help to d ecrease the possibility of severe injury during acciden ts and sudden stops. Mazda recommends that the driver and all passengers always wear seat belts. All of the seat belt retr actors are designed to keep the lap/shoulder belts out of the way when not in use.
Black plate (27,1) Have your seat belts changed immediately if the pretensioner or load limiter has been expended: One or both front air bags may deploy, and the corresponding pretensioner(s) may also deploy at the same time. Like the air bags, the front seat belt pretensioners will only function once.
Black plate (28,1) q Pregnant W omen and Persons with Serious Medical Conditions Pregnant women shoul d always wear seat belts. Ask your doctor for specific recommendations. The lap belt should be worn SNUGL Y AND AS LOW AS POSSIBLE OVER THE HIPS. The shoulder belt should be worn across your shoulder properly , but never across the stomach area.

Gases are produced to inflate the front air bags and after the inflation, the front air bags quickly deflate.

Black plate (87,1) q Request Switch Inoperable W arning Beep If the request switch for a front door is pressed under the follo wing conditions while the advanced key is being carried, a beep will be heard 6 times to indic ate that the front doors cannot be locked.

Door-lock knob Lock Unlock T o lock either front door with the door- lock knob from the outside, push the door-lock knob to the lock position and close the door .
Black plate (98,1) Locking, unlocking with key All doors lock automatically when the driver's door is locked with the key . All doors unlock when the driver's door is unlocked and the key is held in the unlock position for one second or longer .
Black plate (99,1) Locking, unlocking with transm itter (with retractable type key) All doors can be locked/unlocked by operating the keyless entry system transmitter, refer to Keyless Entry System (page 3-23). q Freestyle Doors The pillarless freestyle doors are front and rear-hinged for ease of ingress and egress to the rear seat.
Black plate (100,1) Closing the freestyle doors 1. Close the rear door first, and then close the front door . Front door Rear door CAUTION Before closing a fron t door make sure other passengers are not operating a rear door and a rear passenger's head or hands are away from the rear door.
Black plate (101,1) T runk Lid WARNING Never allow a per son to ride in the trunk: Allowing a person to ride in the trunk is dangerous. In addition , the person in the trunk could be seriously injured or killed during sudden braking or a collis ion.
Black plate (102,1) Opening the trunk lid with the request switch (with advanced key) The trunk lid can be opened by operating the request switch on the trunk lid while carrying the advanced key outside the vehicle, refer to Operations Using Advanced Keyless Functions (page 3-7).
Black plate (103,1) Inside T runk Release Lever Y our vehicle is equipped with an inside trunk release lever that provides a means of escape for children and adults in the event they become locked inside the trunk.
Black plate (104,1) q Opening the T runk Lid from the Inside Slide the inside trunk relea se lever in the direction of the arrow . The lever is made of material that will glow for hours in the darkness of the trunk following a brief exposure to ambient light.
Black plate (105,1) q Operating the Power Windows NOTE l The passenger power window can be operated with the door switch when the power window lock switch on the driver's door is in the unlocked position (page 3-40). l The passenger power window can also be operated by the power window master contr ol switches on the driver's door .
Black plate (106,1) NOTE (POWER WINDOW RESET PROCEDURE) If the battery was disconnected during vehicle maintenance, or for other reasons such as a switch continues to be operated after the window is fully open/close, the power windows will not fully open and close automatically .

Black plate (108,1) q Power Window Lock Switch W ith the lock switch in the unlock ed position (button not depressed), all power windows on each door can be operated. W ith the lock switch in the locked position (button depressed), only the driver's side powe r window can be operated.
Black plate (109,1) WARNING Use the remote auto-window functio n only when you can see the vehicle and it is in a secure area : Do not let children play with your keys. If they open the window without your knowing, the open windows are an even bigger invitation to a th ief than leaving the doors unlocked.
