2-9 Esse ntial Safet y Equip ment Seat Belt Systems Form No. 8S15-EA-03G Expended Seat Belt Pretensioners: Use of front seat belts w ith the pretensioner system expended is dangerous . The seat belt pretensioners will only function once. After th ey are expended, they will no t work again and both must be rep laced immediately .

The seat belt will be too long and not fit properly. In an accident , the seat belt will not provi de adequate pr otection and you could be ser iously inj ured.

In a sudden st op or a co llision it could mo v e causing ser ious inj ury or death to the child or other occupa nts.

A seat belt us ed in this way can ’ t spread the impact forces prop erly and the two pa ssengers could be crushed together and serious ly injured or even killed.

Y o ur v ehicle is equipped with a trunk release handle that pr ovides a mean s of escape for children and adults in the e vent they become locked inside the trunk.

If someone attempts to start th e engine with an unrecognized key , the engine will not start, thereby helping to prev ent the theft of you r vehicle.
