Black plate (19,1) Rear of seat bottom Raise or lower the back of the switch to adjust the rear height of the seat bottom. q Lumbar Support Adjustment The amount of lumbar support can be adjusted by pressing the switch . T o increase the seat firmness, press and hold the front part of the switch to the desired position, then release it.
Black plate (20,1) q Seat W armer The front seats are electrica lly heated. The ignition switch must be in the ON position. Press the switch to turn the seat warmer on or off. When the switch is in the ON position, the indicator light will come on. NOTE The seat temperature is regulated automatically by a therm ostat.
Black plate (21,1) Seat Belt Precautions Seat belts help to d ecrease the possibility of severe injury durin g accidents and sudden stops. Mazda recommends that the driver and all passengers always wear seat belts. All of the seat belt retr actors are designed to keep the lap/shoulder belts out of the way when not in use.
Black plate (22,1) W ARNING Have your seat belts changed immediately if the pretensioner or load limiter has been expended: One or both front air bags may deploy , and the corresponding pretensioner (s) may also deploy at the same time.

The lap belt should be worn SNUGL Y AND AS LOW AS POSSIBLE OVER THE HIPS. The shoulder belt should be worn across your shoulder properly , but never across the stomach area.

If not, the child could be seriously injur ed or even killed in an accident.

If the front door is closed while a passenger is operating the rear door handle, a hand or finge rs could be injured if the handle is forced back.

If the rear door is not completely closed, the front door will not be securel y closed. Thi s could cause the front door to open unexpectedly while driving and may result in an accide nt.
Black plate (98,1) q Opening and Closing the T runk W ARNING Close the trunk lid and do not allow children to play inside the vehicle: Leaving the trunk lid open or leaving children in the vehicle with the keys is dangerous. Children could open the trunk lid and climb inside resulting in possible injury or de ath from heat exposure.
Black plate (99,1) Opening the trunk lid with the remote release button Push the release button. Closing the trunk lid Grasp the inner handle and pull the trunk lid down, then push the trunk lid down until it locks securely . Be careful not to slam it.
