W arning and Safety instructions 10 Heat pump t echnology and r efrigerant: The heat pump in this tumble dryer uses a refriger ant which is condensed by the compressor and led in a closed cir cuit through the heat ex changer unit where heat e xchange with the cir culating drying air takes place.
W arning and Safety instructions 11 Please obser ve the instructions in "Installation and connection" and the "T echnical data". The acc essibility of the plug must always be ensured, in or der to disconnect the tumble dryer from the mains.
W arning and Safety instructions 12 T o prevent the risk of fire, the following t extiles must not be dried in this tumble dryer: – Items which have not been washed. – Items, such as workwear , which have no t been thor oughly cle aned and which are still soiled with gr ease, oil or other deposits (such as cosmetics, lotions etc).
W arning and Safety instructions 13 Remove all items fr om pockets (e.g. lighters, matches). W arning: Do not switch the dryer off before the drying progr amme has finished. If this is done, the laundr y must be hung up or spread out t o cool it down.
W arning and Safety instructions 14 In many pr ogr ammes, the heating phase is followed by a cooling down phase to ensur e that the items ar e not too hot to handle when you remove them (this also avoids the danger of the laundry self- igniting). The progr amme is not finished until the cooling down phase has been completed.
W arning and Safety instructions 15 Condense d water is not drinking wat er . It can cause health problems in both people and animals if consumed. Always k eep the ar ea around the tumble dryer free of dust and fluff. Dust dr awn into the tumble dryer can cause blockages in the heat ex changer over time.
W arning and Safety instructions 16 Using a fragr ance flacon (optional accessor y) Only use genu ine Miele original fr agrance flacons. The fr agrance flacon must be st ored in its packaging so please make sur e you retain this. Caution. The fr agr ance can leak out of the flacon.

If non-Miele parts are used, guar antee, performance and product liability claims will be invalidat ed. The tumble dr yer can be combined with a Miele washing machine in a washer -dryer stack.

Before using for the first time 20 Removing the protective foil and stick ers Remove – the prot ective foil from the door . – any stickers from the fr ont and the lid. Please do not r emove any labels (e.g. the data plate), visible when you open the door .

2. L oad the tumble dr yer 23 It is essential to read "1. Notes on correct laundry care" first of all. P ress the butt on to switch the dryer on. The interior drum lighting will come on. The interior drum lighting will aut omatically go out after a few minutes and/or after the start of a progr amme to save ener gy .
3. Select a progr amme and start it 24 Select a progr amme T urn the progr amme selector . A drying level or option buttons may also li ght up and durations will appear in the time display .

4. Remove the laundry 27 End of progr amme/Anti-crease At the end of the progr amme: will light up in the display and the Start/ Stop b utt on will go out. The anti-crease function, if selected, will then switch on for a maximum of 2 hours.
Options 28 The options are switched on or off by pr essing the appr opriate button. The button will light up when the option is select ed. Gentle tumble Delicate fabric (with the symbol on the car e label, e.g. acrylic garments) is dried at a lower temper ature.
Delay start 29 T o select delay start With delay start you can delay the start of the pr ogr amme by up to a maximum of 24 hours. However: delay star t cannot be used with the Warm air p r ogramme. Aft er selecting the pr ogramme touch the sensor .

Changing the progr amme sequence 33 Y ou cannot change to another pr ogr amme once a progr amme has started (this pr events unintentional alter ations). If you move the progr amme selector , will light up until you move the pr ogr amme selector back to the original progr amme.
Cleaning and care 34 Emptying the condensed water container The condensed water is collected in the condensed wat er container . Empty the condensed water contai ner after every drying progr amme. The indicator will light up if the maximum level of the condensed water container is reached.
Cleaning and care 35 Fluff filters This tumble dryer has 2 fluff filters in the door opening: the upper and lower fluff filt ers tr ap fluff produced during the drying process. Removing visible fluff Remove any fluff after every drying cycle. Tip: Y ou can also use a vacuum cleaner so that you can remove the fluff without touching it.
Cleaning and care 36 Cleaning the fluff filters and air flow openi ngs thoroughly If the drying duration has become lo nger or the surface of the filters is visibly compacted with fluff, you should carry out the following cleaning procedur e. If using a fr agrance flacon make sure you r emove it beforehand.
Cleaning and care 37 Plinth filter Only clean the plinth filter when the indicat or lights up. Removing the plinth filter P r ess the round, indented ar ea on the heat ex changer access panel to open it. The panel will spring open. Pull the plinth filt er out by the handle.

T o ensure that the filt er is positioned corr ectly in the fr ont of the heat ex changer unit: Fi rst insert the handle with the plinth filter attached over the two guide pins.
