Wire rac k The racks have non-tip safety notches which pr event them from being pulled out completely while the oven is in use. When inser ting a rack, always check that the safety notches ar e at the r ear of the oven. The rack can only be r emoved by raising it upwar ds and then pulling out.
Grease filter The filter helps to keep the oven fan clean fr om moisture and gr ease. When r oasting or broiling, insert the gr ease filter in front of the fan opening. Roast pr obe The r oast probe r eliably monitors the cor e temperature of meat and poultry during a r oasting function.
Child safety loc k The child safety lock can be activated to pr event children fr om operating the oven or to conserve standby power when the oven will not be used for some time (e.g. vacation). The child safety lock is located below the right side of the contr ol panel, only visible when the door is open.
This oven uses soft key technology and an LCD display for the selection of a function. T o select a function, touch the contr ol next to the displayed function. The arr ow next to each function points to its corr esponding control. ^ T ouch the "ON" contr ol to activate the display .
The default oven settings can be changed in the function "SETTINGS". In this function you can customize the oven to suit your pr eferences. Settings may be adjusted by touching the appr opriate touch control.
Language F ^ Select the touch contr ol next to the desir ed language and confir m by touching "OK". The F symbol indicates the "Language" setting. If you accidentally select an unfamiliar language, simply look for the F symbol. T ouch the contr ol next to the flag symbol and select your language of choice.
T emperatures The default temperatur e of each function can be adjusted within the range shown below . If a temperatur e out of the range is selected, the oven will r ever t to the default temperatur e. ^ T ouch the contr ol of the function whose default temperatur e you wish to alter .
Oven Light The "on" duration of the oven light can be alter ed. ^ T ouch the contr ol of the light setting you wish to choose. – "Of f after 1 minute" The light goes of f after the first minute of a function. – "On during use" The oven light r emains lit during a function.
T one Options Unique tones may be set for each of the two timers to dif ferentiate the timers fr om an oven function tone. "Timer 1" and "Timer 2" The tone of Timer 1 and Timer 2 can be set to one of five tone options.
"V olume" This contr ol adjusts the volume of the tone options. ^ T ouch the "V olume" contr ol until you hear the desir ed volume. "T one Shor t / Long" The duration of the timer and oven tones can be modified. – "T one shor t" will beep in quick succession when an oven signal or the oven timer sounds.
Reset The factor y settings of the oven can be r estored thr ough the "RESET" function. Reset T emperatures If the r equest is confir med with "yes", all changed temperatur es will be restor ed to the factor y default setting.
Heat the o ven New ovens may have a slight odor during the first few uses. T o eliminate the odor quickly , the oven should be operated at a high temperatur e for 2 hours. Befor e heating the oven, remove all accessories and labels fr om the oven. Make sur e the room is well ventilated during this pr ocess.
^ Set the temperatur e to 500°F (260°C) using the keypad. ^ Set the timer to run the oven for 2 hours by touching the "Delay Star t" contr ol. ^ Select "Duration". Set the duration by entering "2", "0", "0" using the keypad.
Selecting a function ^ T ouch the "ON" contr ol to activate the display . ^ T ouch the contr ol next to the function you wish to select. For example, touch the contr ol to the left of the wor d "BAKE" to select this function. The "BAKE" function submenu will appear in the display .
Adjusting the o ven temperature This oven has been factor y tested for the optimum operating temperatur e of each function. This temperatur e can be adjusted if needed. ^ T ouch the contr ol to the right of "T emperatur e". The temperatur e will be highlighted in the display .
Preheating For pr oper cooking results, most r ecipes call for a preheated oven. After a temperatur e has been selected, the rising temperatur e can be viewed in the display . "Pr eheating" will show in the display until the oven has r eached the selected temperatur e.
Dela y Star t This featur e allows you to delay the star t of a function, fr om 1 minute to 23 hours 59 minutes, so that the cooking pr ocess begins at a specified time. ^ T ouch the contr ol left of "Delay Star t". ^ T ouch the contr ol to the left of "Delayed Star t Time" and enter a start time.
Desired End Time The desir ed end time allows you to set the actual time you would like cooking to complete. This time is limited to 24 hours fr om the current time. ^ T ouch the contr ol left of "Delay Star t". ^ T ouch the "Desir ed End Time" control and enter the desir ed end time.
Interrupting cooking ^ T ouch the "Clear" contr ol. ^ Select which option you wish to clear . T urning off the o ven ^ T ouch the "OFF" contr ol. The oven will tur n of f and the time of day will appear in the display . At the end of cooking – a tone will sound.
Setting a timer The timer can be used to time any activity in the kitchen and can be set independently of a cooking function. T wo alar ms (Timer1 and 2) can be selected simultaneously . A maximum time of 99 minutes and 59 seconds can be selected. T o set a timer: ^ T ouch the "Timer" contr ol.

B AKE Default temperatur e . . . . 375°F (190°C) The "BAKE" function works by heating food fr om below . This is similiar to the "bake mode" of a conventional oven. Use this function for: – cakes, – baked apples, – quick br eads, – spar e ribs.
CONVECTION B AKE Default temperatur e . . . . 325°F (160°C) This function actively cir culates heated air thr oughout the oven cavity for a constant baking temperatur e.
SURR OUND Default temperatur e . . . . 375°F (190°C) The "SURROUND" function is a pr emium conventional baking mode. The oven heats with both the upper and lower heating elements without the convection fan. Use this function for: – cookies, cakes – angel food cake, – cr eam puffs, – meringue.
BR O WNING Default temperatur e . . . . 375°F (190°C) In the "BROWNING" function, food is heated fr om above. Use this function for: – br owning meringue, – melting a cheese topping, – dense quick br ead. The r ecommended position is the 4 th runner fr om the bottom.
INTENSIVE Default temperatur e . . . . 325°F (160°C) The "INTENSIVE" function generates heat fr om the lower heating element. The oven’ s fan gently cir culates the heated air to cr eate a brick oven envir onment.
A UT O R O AST Default temperatur e . . . . 325°F (160°C) This pr emium convection function heats the oven to a high temperatur e to sear the meat, r etaining moisture and tender ness. Once the oven cavity temperatur e has exceeded the set temperatur e, "Searing" will appear in the display .
CONVECTION R O AST Default temperatur e . . . . 325°F (160°C) This function uses the convection fan to actively cir culate heated air throughout the oven. This function does not spike the oven temperatur e for searing. Use this function for: – chicken pieces, – small poultr y , – small cuts of meat, – fish.
SURR OUND R O AST Default temperatur e . . . . 400°F (200°C) "SURROUND ROAST" is a conventional r oasting program for traditional r ecipes. Use this function for: – pot r oast, – leg of lamb, – pork loin. The r ecommended position is the 2 nd runner fr om the bottom.
Roasting tips – Always install the gr ease filter in the back of the oven befor e roasting. – The larger the cut of meat to be r oasted, the lower the temperature that should be used. The r oasting process will take a little longer , but the meat will be cooked evenly and the outside will become crisp.
Using the r oast pr obe The r oast probe r eliably monitors the r oasting process. The tip of the pr obe continuously measur es the core temperatur e of the meat or poultr y . When the selected cor e temperature is r eached, the oven automatically shuts of f.
^ Inser t the pr obe into the middle of the meat. Make sur e that the probe does not touch any bones and is not located in a fatty por tion of the meat.
^ Select a r oasting function. For example, "AUTO ROAST". The default temperatur e and the probe (cor e) temperature, once inserted, will show in the oven display . T o adjust the cor e temperature: ^ T ouch the contr ol to the left of "Pr obe".
The star t of r oasting can also be delayed at this time. ^ T ouch the "Delayed Star t" contr ol. ^ Enter the desir ed star t time of the r oasting process using the keypad. For example, r oasting should star t at 2 o’clock. At the end of cooking, when the selected cor e temperature has been r eached, a tone will sound.
The "MASTER CHEF" function contains an easy to use list of pr eset functions of commonly cooked foods such as pizza, chicken, fr ench fries. ^ T ouch the "MASTER CHEF" contr ol to view the list of pr eset functions. ^ T ouch the contr ol of the function you wish to select.
^ T ouch the contr ol to the left of "T urkey". ^ T ouch the contr ol that corresponds to the weight of the turkey , "10 - 15 lb". ^ Inser t the r oast pr obe into the turkey and into the r oast probe socket. ^ The r emaining cooking time can be monitor ed in the display .

MAXI BR OIL No default temperatur e The entir e upper heating element is used for intense heating fr om above. This function gives excellent br owning and searing r esults. Use this function for: – london br oil, – chops, – large quantities of meat, – br owning large dishes.
CONVECTION BR OIL No default temperatur e Hot air fr om the upper heating element is distributed over the food by the fan. This enables a lower temperatur e than conventional br oiling to be used. Use this function for: – steak, – lamb. The r ecommended position is the 2 nd runner fr om the bottom.
R O TISSERIE No default temperatur e The "ROTISSERIE" function br oils meat or poultr y while turning it on a spit for even cooking r esults. Use this function for: – poultr y , – stuf fed meat, – kebabs. The r oast probe can not be used at the same time as the r otisserie.
^ Secur e meat or poultr y on the skewers. (Poultr y legs should be tied together to pr event them from catching on the heating element.) ^ Assemble the r otisserie as shown. ^ Put the r otisserie in the oven, using the lowest level runner . ^ Inser t the spits into the grill motors at the back of the oven.
Br oiling tips – T o ensur e even cooking, it is best to br oil foods of a similar thickness at the same time. Most items should be tur ned halfway thr ough br oiling. – T o deter mine how far thr ough a thick piece of meat has been cooked, pr ess down on its sur face with a spoon.
If you often cook a r ecipe with the same settings (function, times, temperatur e) you can save those settings as a "favorite" for easy r ecall. T o save a favorite: ^ Enter the function, temperatur e and cooking times of the r ecipe. The oven will begin heating.
SABB A TH Default temperatur e . . . . . 375°F/190°C For r eligious observance, the oven can be set to run for the duration of the Sabbath.Ther e will be no visual change to the contr ol panel and the clock will not be displayed. In this function, only "BAKE" and "SURROUND" ar e available.
DEHYDRA TE Default temperatur e . . . . . 175°F (80°C) This function is for dehydrating fruits, vegetables and herbs. A constant low temperatur e and the fan maintain the ideal conditions for the long dehydration pr ocess. For best r esults, blot food with a paper towel befor e dehydrating.
PR OOF Default temperatur e . . . . . 125°F (50°C) The war m envir onment cr eated in the pr oof function will allow you to ef fectively proof dough. This function maintains a low temperatur e per fect for yeast to rise. Place the dough in a large bowl on the oven rack positioned at the lowest runner level.
DEFR OST Default temperatur e . . . . . . 75°F (25°C) This function allows you to defr ost food at a constant temperatur e. Defr osting times depend on the type and weight of the food, and at what temperatur e it was deep-frozen.
Appliance fr ont The glass fr ont of the appliance and the contr ol area can be cleaned with glass cleaner when cool. Stainless steel Stainless steel sur faces can be cleaned using a non-abrasive stainless steel cleaner . T o help pr event resoiling, a conditioner for stainless steel can also be used.
P erf ectClean The r evolutionar y PerfectClean enamel is a smooth, nonstick sur face that cleans up easily with a sponge. The following have been tr eated with "Per fectClean": – r oasting pan, – anti-splash tray . ^ Do not clean items with Per fectClean in a dishwasher .
Cleaning the o ven cavity b y hand , Danger of bur ns! Allow the oven to cool befor e cleaning. T o make cleaning easier – r emove the oven door , – r emove the runners, – lower the upper heating element. ^ Clean the oven sur faces with a solution of hot water and liquid dish soap and a sponge or soft nylon brush.
Remo ving the oven door Please note: the oven door is quite heavy . It should be gripped fir mly at the sides when being r emoved or r efitted. ^ Open the door fully . ^ Flip up the locking clamps on each door hinge. ^ Slowly shut the door until the pr otruding clamps stop the movement.
Refitting the o ven door ^ Inser t the door onto the hinges and open the door completely . ^ Flip the locking clamps down. Check that the locking clamps ar e flipped down when the door is r einstalled. Otherwise, on closing the door , the hinges could work loose fr om the guide holes and cause damage.
Lowering the upper heating element ^ Remove the runners first. ^ Loosen the wing nut. ^ Gently lower the element. Cleaning 62.
SELF CLEAN function In the self cleaning function, the oven is heated to ver y high temperatur es bur ning of f any r esidue on the oven interior . The duration of the "SELF CLEAN" function will depend on the amount of soiling in the oven. After the cleaning pr ocess, any bur nt of f debris (e.
Befor e star ting the "SELF CLEAN" function: – Remo ve large pieces of debris and an y puddles of grease fr om the oven interior . Debris and grease can ignite at high temperatures. – Remove all accessories fr om the oven. The high temperatur es of this function will damage the accessories.
A tone will sound when the "SELF CLEAN" function has ended and "Ready" will appear in the display . ^ Once the oven has cooled , remove the ash with a damp sponge. A film may build up on the oven door . This can be r emoved with a shielded blade scraper or a non-abrasive sponge and a mild solution of war m water and dish soap.
, T o r educe the risk of electric shock, disconnect this appliance fr om the power supply by shutting of f the power main or tripping the cir cuit breaker . Changing the light b ulb ^ Remove the runners. ^ Spr ead a dishtowel on the oven floor to pr otect the enamel, in case the light cover falls.
^ Replace the halogen bulb. Only use a 12 V , 10 W , 572°F (300°C) heat r esistant, Osram, type w818 bulb. Do not touch the new light bulb with your fingers; touching the bulb will r educe its life.
^ Put the light cover back in place with the notch to the r ear of the metal clamps. ^ Pr ess the light cover in to the metal frame. ^ Reassemble the runners.
What if the o ven does not heat? P ossible fault Fix The child safety lock is activated. Deactivate the child safety lock. The cir cuit breaker has tripped. Check the br eaker . The delay star t has been set. Cancel the delay star t. The door is not fully closed.
