6 Input connections Connecti ng the GSZ67 to you r sourc e equi pment i s straight forward. Usi ng the hi gh- qualit y RCA audi o intercon nect cabl es, match the outp ut chann el desi gnation s on the rear of you r source equip ment to the in put jacks on th e rear pan el of y our ampl ifier that ha ve the sam e chan nel na me.
7 RS232 Connection The RS232 connect ion is us ed to cont rol th e GSZ67 by an external cont roller or computer an d can w ork with our with out keypads. Th e GSZ67 con nects to the RS232 controll er with a 9 -pin db9 connecto r. The p rogrammi ng referen ce foll ows.

9 Keypad Connection The GSZ67 outpu ts can b e controll ed by the MR164 keypa d and/or an external controll er or comput er (usi ng th e RS232 port), so keypads m ay not b e need ed. More than one or two key pads c an be u sed in a z one and nine ( 9) is t he maximum number of M R164 keyp ads p er GSZ67 allowed.
10 Run CAT5 wire fr om the keyp ad locat ion to th e GSZ67 l ocation fo r each ke ypad or run it from keypad to keypad locati on. Ideal ly home run s are u sed as th ey leave th e install ation m ore “future pro of” and r elia ble. Leave an ext ra 1 m o r 3 feet on each side to mak e it easi er to wo rk on.
11 To acti vate the pagi ng overri de a 5-25 D C vol ts is appli ed and th e override occu rs when the v oltag e is present. The pagi ng occurs about 1 se cond aft er the vol tage i s appli ed and conti nues un til th e voltage i s removed. Cal l our tech nical support fo r further detai l s.

T he MR164 k e y pad labels can be progr ammed off site if desired. Note: A ll of the MR164 k eypads in this s y st em have to be program m ed with the sam e labels and i n the sam e sourc e order.
