5 SECTION 2: ASSEMBLING YOUR SNOW THROWER Unpacking • Remove s crews from th e top sides an d ends of th e ship ping cr ate. • Set panel aside to avoid ti re punctures or personal injury . • Remov e and disc ard plast ic bag that co vers uni t. • Rol l unit out of crat e.
6 • Secure the upper handl e and lower han dle with the two plasti c wing nuts, cupped was hers and car riage bolts previ ously remo ved. Att ach these ha rdware on the lower hole in the handl es. See F igure 3. NOTE: On mo del 633E , attac h the wi ng nut, cuppe d washer a nd carriage bolt in the lower hole on the right side only .
7 If the spiral on th e chute di rection al control c annnot be adjusted properly, fol low the steps below: • Loosen th e two hex nuts whi ch secure th e chute directi onal con trol support b racket (see Figu re 8) to the snow thr ower hou sing, b eside the discharge chute .
8 • Relea se t he aug er con trol. The cable should be straigh t. Make ce rtain yo u can depre ss the au ger control against the l eft handle co mplete ly. • If a djustm ent i s nece ssary , pr oceed as follow s: • Loosen th e jam nut and thre ad the cable in (for le ss slack ) or out (for mor e slack ) as nece ssary.

10 Chute Tilt Co ntrol The dist ance snow is thrown can be adjusted by adjustin g the angle of the chute asse mbly. Mov e the chute tilt c ontrol for ward to dec rease the di stance, an d towards th e rear to incr ease the distan ce. Discharge Chute The angle of the discha rge ch ute contro ls the dista nce that the sn ow is thrown .
11 • When di sconnecti ng the power c ord, alwa ys unpl ug from the t hree-pron g recepta cle first , and then fr om the snow thrower . Recoil Starter • Rotate cho ke knob to FU LL choke posi tion (col d engin e start). • If engine is warm, plac e choke in OFF position inste ad of FULL.
12 SECTION 5: MAKING ADJUSTMENTS WARNING: NEVER a ttempt to clean chute o r make any adju stment s while engine is runni ng. Chute Assembly The dist ance snow is thrown can be adjusted by changing the angle of t he chute assem bly. Refer to Chute Tilt C ontrol on page 10.
13 Drive Whee ls The wheel s may be adju sted for two di fferent meth ods of operati on. The adju stment is made by placi ng the click pins in one of two different ho les on the right s ide of the u nit.
