13 2. Installin g the sy stem The following pages descri be basic system programming. A step-by-step guide of the most important aspects on the S ecvest 2WAY system is presented. 2.1 230 V ∼ 50 Hz mains connection Attach the Secvest 2WAY alarm centre.
14 2.2 PSTN telephon e connect ion The alarm cen tre is co nnected to the te lephone conne ction as follows. 3. Training the detector s Call up the install er menu. Enter a valid installer code (default setting = 7890): 7 8 9 0 It may also be necessary to enter the administrat or code 1234 (default).
15 Detector list When using the smoke detector, press t he test button and hold it until t he alarm sounds (about 10 seconds). Press the wall break cont act on the opening detector. The Secvest display confirms succ essful training by show ing the display: Detector assigned to: Test butto n IR LED on bottom ¾ Now edit Zone 01.
16 3.2 Checking the det ector rang e End training by pressing Next and going Back to the main menu. Go to Installer Menu Æ Test Æ Walk Test and carry out a walk test by triggering an alarm message (A). As smoke detectors do not have a tamper contact, only the alarm is displa yed ( A ).
17 3.4 Installing a nd training t he info mo dule The example shows a house in four partitions. The status of each partiti on should be displayed on each floor. Each partition can b e activated or deactivated separ ately. Therefore, an info module must be inst alled for each partition.
18 3.5 Accessing th e alarm centre In order to not trigger an alarm when leaving (Ext Time) or entering (Ent Time) the area, a delay time must be defined for accessing the centre in Partition 01 . Access the installer menu and set the exit or entry delay under the “Partitions” menu item.
19 3.6 Internal alarm act ive (Prt S et All) This setting is used when the ins ide of the house should be accessed freely whilst being protected against break-ins from the outs ide. The detectors must be configured so that external su rveillan ce is created.
20 3.7 Forwarding alarm m essages over the telephone ( speech dialler) This setting is used for infor ming the user over the tele phone. Call up the installer menu and select the “Reporting” men u item. Select the installed t elephone connection (PSTN) on t he Secvest.
21 The call sequence starts with number 01, then number 02 up to the “Follow me” numb er. A dial pause of three seconds can be entered using the “ * ” key. Please note that the last telep hone number is designated as t he Follo w me number. The wireless centre shows this number in the user menu.
22 3.8 Informing other persons When the called party answ ers a call from the speech dialler, they can end the call by sending back a DTMF “5”. When the “Call Acknowledge” function is activ ated , the wireless centre ends the call to this number when it has received a DTMF “5” .
23 A message is displayed wit h the siren confirmation and the signal strength value. Leave this display by pressin g Back . If a siren has been trained, then the symbol is show n next to the siren number . Leave this display by pressin g Back . Select “Edi t Ext Siren ”.
24 You have a guest that may only access the ground floor. Enter a user name . Confirm with OK . Select the Normal User user stat us. Allocate the relevant access rights to t he user (e.g. for the ground floor partition only ). Change the authorisat ion to No or Yes and confirm by pressing Done .

Notes on connect ion and ext ension option s The wireless alarm centre is the central part of an electronic security system for protecting your property (e.g. apartment, house, garage, shops etc.). It secures the monitored areas in combination with other components such as wireless d etectors and signallers.
33 8. Notes on the se curity system High-frequenc y emission warning! The limit value of the emitted high-frequency signals for these components is below the European standard (considered as safe). Nonetheless, the devic e must be attached so that potential contact with users during nor mal operation is kept to a minimum.

35 8.6 Co nnecting the alarm centre to the 230 V mains suppl y Connecting the alarm centre to t he 230 V AC mains network is subject t o national regulations. Check t hat no voltage is present in the connection cable w hen fitting. Connect the 230 V power supply to t he mains connector according to EN60950- 1 as shown in the diagram.

37 8.11 Closing the alar m centr e Reconnect the top part to the base plate. Remember to connect t he connection cable of the base plate to the alarm centre. At the same time, check t hat all other connections (emergency power supply and loudspeaker) are correctly connected to the top part.
38 9. Explanation of term s Before starting to program the alarm centre, y ou should become familiar with the terms used. The following is an explanat ion of the possible zone ty pes and their allocated attributes: ZONE A zone is a detector that has been trained for the w ireless alarm centre.
39 KEY BOX This zone is mainly used in Scandinavi a. If this zone is opened, t he trigger is stored in the memory of the burglar alarm centre. The can also be transmitted via the telephone dialler.

49 KEY SW MOMENT Train a key switch (pulse) to the wireless alarm centre. Any change to this zone changes the state of the alarm centre from active to inactive or vice versa (f ollowing the dela y time). KEY SW LATCHED A key switch (permanent) can be connected to the burglar alarm centre.

52 14.2 Editing outputs Now edit Zone 01. Select the Name menu item. 14.3 Assigning the output name It is sensible to assign a clear and unique out put name so that the output can be identified quickly in the event of a malfunction. 55 14.7 WAM outputs The WAM wireless outputs can be edited after trainin g the WAM as a wireless transmitter or receiver (function 3). Select output 31 using the arrow keys (WAM 1). Edit the menu point under output 31 . Select the Name menu item. Assign a new name and fini sh data entry by pressing OK .

59 15.2.2 Rdy-to -Set LED This function must also be set if the i nfo module is equi pped with properties of the “Ready” display . This signals t hat at least one z one in the partitio n is open (zones connected with “Force Set” property ). Proceed as follows: Select the Rdy-to-Set LED menu item.
60 Select the corresponding accessory module (WAM). In total, up to eight accessory modules can be trained. Select a module (e.g. WAM 1 ). Trigger the tamper contact on the WAM. Trained WAM modules have the symbol next to the WAM n umber. Exit the menu by pressing Back .
61 15.3.1 WA M as w ireless repe ater WAM function 1 If the accessory module is trained with the w ireless repeater function, then the wireless repeaters whose signals are to be transmitted via t his module must also be trained to the WAM. Consult the WAM operating inst ructions for more information.
62 Trigger the tamper contact on the arming station (s ee the station operating instructions) . When the arming station has been tr ained, the wireless alarm centre beeps twice in ackn owledgement. At the same t ime, the graphic dis play shows the symbol next to the arming station number.
63 15.4.2. Arming station with new function The arming station can also be used out doors (IP54). Using the “Instant Set” function, the alarm centre ca n be activated without any ex it delay after entry of the user code.

70 Function Mea ni ng Country defaults After confirming the “Country defaults”, a list of different countries is display ed. Each country has its ow n alarm settings. This option can be used t o select the default settings for a certain country. Select the country where the alarm centre is installed.

72 17.13 Jammi ng Select whether the alarm sys tem should display a warning in t he case of jamming detection. If this function is en abled, a warning is shown on the disp lay if jamming is detected. 17.14 Batt Load T est Select whether the alarm sy stem should test the battery capacity at eve ry disarming or every 23 hours.
73 18. IP Network When an ethernet or GPRS module is attached, t his menu allows the user to alloc ate the wireless centre an individual IP ad dress. This is then used for IP alarms or the IP dow nload.
74 19. Downlo ad settings Select the corresponding function. For a list of functions and their attributes, see the table below. Select “Download”. Function Meaning Account Name The account name is allocated by the downl oad software in order to guarantee a secure connection.
75 19.3 Ring s to Answer Select when the wireless alarm centre sho uld accept a call. To select a number of rings, press Select . If the value is set to 255, the al arm cent re never answers the call. 19.4 Answer on 1 ring Select when the wireless alarm cent re should accept a call.
76 19.7 IP Network If an ethernet module is attached to the wireless alarm centre, then it is possibl e for the downloader to communicate with the w ireless alarm centre using the Internet protocol. This menu allows yo u to save two IP addresses that can be called by the wireless alarm centre to start a download.

91 21.2 Monitoring Interval Select the monitoring interval in hours. Within this interval, every detector programmed for activi ty moni toring must b e triggered at least o nce to avoid the trigg ering of a soci al care alarm.
92 22.2 Testing the loudspeaker Activate the loudspeaker by pressing Play/Stop under t he display. After confi rming with Play/Stop , the loudspeaker is activated. Y ou should now hear the voice messages. You can now listen to all voice messages saved in the di splay.
93 22.8 A rming Station The test of the arming station signal is used for displaying the signal s trength. The signal strength should be higher than 3. 22.9 Output s A list of all outputs inst alled on the system is shown on t he display. Select the output t o be tested.
94 25. Installin g a dditional modules Before connecting the ISDN / GSM / ethernet / GPRS module to the alar m centre, disconnect the electric power supply. First ly, access the installer menu on the alarm centre. This prevents a tamper alarm from being trigg ered when the top part is removed from the base plate.
95 26. Fitting the ISDN module Insert the ISDN module carefully and exactly into t he base of the ISDN module. Ensure that all base feet are correctly att ached to the base holder. IMPORTA NT: The ISDN module does not support the entry of MSN numbers.
96 28. Fitting the ethernet module Insert the ethernet module carefully and exactly into the base of the module. Ensure that all base feet are correctly att ached to the base holder. Plug in the network cable. 29. Fitting the GPRS module Before inserting the GPRS module, insert a SIM card into the GPRS module.
97 30. Final t asks Finally, plug the siren plug from the cover of the t op part back into the PCB and replace the tamper contact spring. Make sure that the microp hone is also exactly located in the top part and place the cover back on the top part. Screw the top part back in place.
98 32.2 Programm ing To program the system, install the dow nloader program from the softw are CD supplied. The current version of t his program can also be downloaded from the Security Center website. After installing and starting the downloader program, y ou are prompted to enter a password.
99 Communication This product can be connected t o an analogue telephone connect ion (PSTN) or an analogue extension co nnection. However, due t o differences betw een telephone network providers, no guarantees can be made for problem-free o peration on every telephone terminal connection.
