1 Mitel Networks™ 5303 Conference Phone Installation and User Gui de Welcome Congratulations on y our purchase of the Mitel Networks 5303 Conference Phone, a state of the art conference unit.
2 Important Safety Instru ctions an d Precautions When using the Mitel Networks 5303 Conference Phone and related equipment, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and injury to persons.
3 Installation Parts Included The 5303 Conference Phone comprises the parts shown below. If any parts are missing, contact y our authorized Mitel Networks dealer . Figure 1 : Parts of the 5303 Conference Phone For best performance It is recommended that the Mitel Networks 5303 Conference Phone be used in a 15’x25’ maximum size room.
4 2 The short phone cord has a different connector on each end. Connect the end with the larger connector (RJ45) to the remaining jack (labeled with a phone jack icon ) on the 48 V DC Power Adap ter . R efer to Figure 2. 3 Connect the other end of the short phone cord to a m odular wall jack.
5 Figure 3 : Overall Setup Quick Reference The 5303 Conference Phone is comprised of a Speaker Unit and a T ablet. The Speaker Unit houses the speak er and microphone. The T ablet, shown in Figure 4 below, allows you to dial numbers and access the unit’s man y features.
6 1 Mute Bu tton : Mutes the microphone so your callers cannot hear you. The Direction Light Indicator Ring on the Speaker Unit turns orange when Mute is on.
7 Conf - T ransmits a pre-programmed feature acce ss code which may be required to set up a third-part y call. F or more informa- tion, see PROGRAM CONF KEY? in the table below . LocalNum - Displays the telephone number (manually dialed) of the 5303 Conference Phone.
8 If a person other than the pres enter wishes to address the con- ference callers, Presentation Mode must be turned off . The pre- senter must remain in the focus area in order to be heard.
9 2 Press the Mute and Presentation buttons at the same time, and then release. The software version number displays. 3 T o change the hook flash time, follow the on-screen instruc- tions. T o exit the Installation Menu and return to norm a l operation: • Press the Exit button.
10 Users should ensure for their own protection that the electrical ground connections of the power utility , telephone lines and internal metallic water pipe system, if present, are connected together . This precaution may be particularly important in rural areas.

20 1 Bouton Silence : P ermet de mettre le microphone en mode silencieux afin que vos correspondants ne puissent pas v ous entendre. L ’anneau d’indicateur lumineux de direction du module de haut-parleur devien t orange lorsque la fonction Silence est activée.
21 Crochet commutateur – V ous permet de mettre le deuxième participant en attente (vous entendez alors une tonalité) et de composer le numéro du troisième participant. Lorsque vous êtes en ligne avec le troisième participant, appuy ez sur le crochet commutateur à nouveau pour amorcer la conférence à trois.
22 Mode Présen tation Le mode Présentation permet au module microphones de capter les sons qui proviennent d’une zone spécifique d’une pièce et d’atténuer les bruits ambiants des autres zones.
