Fr ont panel Slim ODD . This bay is for a slim size optical drive. Po wer button. P ress this button to turn the system on. Headphone port. T his Line In (lime) por t connects a headphone with a stereo mini- plug. Microphone port. T his M ic (pink) por t connects a microphone.
Rear panel USB 2.0 ports 1 ~ 4. These 4-pin Univ ersal S erial Bus (USB) por ts are available f or connecting USB 2.0 devices. HDMI port. This port is for a High-Definition Multimedia I nterface (HDMI) connector, and is HDCP compliant allowing playback of HD DVD , Blu-Ray and other protected content.
Microphone port (pink). This port connects a microphone. Line Out port (lime). This port connects a headphone or a speaker . I n 4.1-channel, 5.1-channel, and 7.1-channel configurations, the function of this por t becomes Fr ont Speaker Out. Line In port (light blue).
Chassis fan vent. This vent is for the fan that pr ovides ventilation inside the sy stem chassis. Video Graphics A dapter ( VGA) port. This 15-pin port is for a VGA monitor or other VGA- compatible devices. Use a VGA card in one slot height, other wise it cannot be installed in the chassis.
Setting up your comput er This section guides you through connecting the main hardware devic es, such as the ex ternal monitor , keyboard, mouse, and pow er cord, to your computer .
Using the onboard displa y output por ts Connect your monitor to the onboard displa y output por t. T o connect an external monitor using the onboard display output ports: 1. Using the memory card reader Digital cameras and other digital imaging devices use memory cards to store digital picture or media files. The built-in memor y card reader on the front panel of y our system allows you to read fr om and write to differ ent memory card drives.
Using the optical driv e Inserting an optical disc T o inser t an optical disc: 1. While your system is on, press PUSH on the drive bay co ver to open the tray . 2. Place the disc to the optical drive with the label side facing up. 3. Push the tray to close it.
