This section describes how to make the most of the key features of your camera. Together with the explanations of camera operations, it wil l enable you to enjoy your came ra to the full.
15 The Optio P70 comes w ith a “Face Rec ognition” func tion that spo ts the faces i n your s hot and automatic ally adjus ts the f ocus and e xposure for the face s. It can recognize u p to 32 pe ople per sho t (*), so it w ill hel p you take perf ect group shots too .

35 1 Getting Started Instal ling the SD Memory Card This camera uses either an SD Memory Card or an SDHC Memo ry Card. (Both card s are referred to as SD Memory Cards h ereafter.) Capture d images and soun d files are s aved on t he SD Me mory Card i f a card is inserted in the cam era.

S etting the switch to LOCK prevents new data from being recorded on the card, the stored data from being delet ed, and the card from being formatted by the camera or computer.
