About Caller Identification (Caller ID) This product has a Caller ID with Call W aiting feature that w orks with ser vice from y our local phone ser vice provider . Caller ID with Call W aiting lets you see who’ s calling befor e you answ er the phone, even when y ou’ re on another call.

3 Install the handset battery. Use only A T&T Batter y 3301 , SKU# 91076. 4 Charge the handset battery. • Place the handset in the base. • Charge the battery at least 12 hour s. After the fir st c harge, the batter y will charg e in eight hour s.
Belt Clip Y ou can remove the belt clip from the handset. Headset Y ou can use this telephone hands-free when you install any industry standard 2.5 mm headset (purc hased separately). For best r esults use an A T&T 2.5 mm headset. Plug the headset into the jack located on the right side of the handset (under the small rubber f lap).
W all Installation 1 Press the tabs as indicated (figure a). 2 Flip the base extension open (figure b). 3 Run the line cord and the power cord thr ough the opening in the base extension and plug them into the jacks on the phone. (figure c). 4 Connect the telephone line cord (figure e).

Ring Volume Adjust the volume of the handset ringer. Setting v olume to 0 turns the ringer off and displays the ringer off icon ( ) on screen. The default setting is 6 . 1 Press S . The screen displays 2 Press + to - until the screen displays 3 Press S .
Ring Pattern The e xter nal ring patter n sets whic h r ing er you hear when you hav e an outside call. The inter nal ring pattern sets which ringer you hear when y ou have an intercom call from another r egistered handset (if installed). Exter nal ring patter n default setting is 0 ; internal r ing pattern default setting is 1 .
Key Click When this featur e is on, each key press makes a sound. Default setting is ON . 1 Press S . The screen displays 2 Press + to - until the screen displays 3 Press S . The screen displays 4 Press 1 or + to select ON . — OR — Press 0 or - to select OFF .
11 Handset Name Y ou can customize the handset to display a name or word of y our choice (up to 16 char acter s) in place of • AT&T idle screen and • HANDSET#1 (during intercom calls). The default setting is AT&T . 1 Press S . The screen displays 2 Press + to - until the screen displays 3 Press S .
Language Setting Y ou can set each registered handset so the displa y appears in English, Spanish or French. The default setting is ENGLISH . 1 Press S . Clear Message Waiting If you subscribe to telephone company v oice mail ser vice, and the messa g e waiting indicator remains on even after y ou have review ed all messages, follo w the directions below to turn off the indicator .
Set Dial Method NOTE: When y ou change the dial method setting, ALL r eg ister ed handsets ar e aff ected. (See “ About Adding Handsets” on page 2 f or details about additional handsets.) This phone comes set for touc h tone ( DTMF ) dialing. If you hav e dial pulse (rotar y) ser vice, you must set the dial method to PULSE .
TELEPHONE OPERA TION 15 Idle Screen When the handset is within rang e of the base and not on a call or in Feature Setup mode, the screen displays If you assign a name to the handset (see “Handset Name” on page 11), that name will be display ed instead of AT&T .
Call Timer When the handset is on a call, the screen displa ys a timer and whether the call is e xter nal or internal (intercom). For example: Speakerphone When the handset speakerphone is activated, you can use the phone hands-free. Stand the handset on a f lat surface (not in the base) and continue y our conversation.
Redial The last five phone numbers dialed at the handset are stored in r edial memor y . Press R repeatedly until the number you w ant to call is display ed then, press P to dial the display ed number — OR — Press P , then press REDIAL repeatedly until the number you want to call is displa yed.
Page/Handset Locator NOTE: If y ou hav e installed additional A T&T 2300 Extension Handsets (purchased separ ately) with y our 2325 base, or y ou have purchased the A T&T 2365 with an additional handset, pressing L will signal ALL register ed handsets.

24 Answer an Incoming Call While on an Intercom Call If an incoming call is received while y ou are using the intercom, you will hear a beep and the screen will display call inf ormation as usual for 15 seconds. T o answ er the incoming call, press P on either handset.
25 For ward a Call If you hav e installed additional A T&T 2300 handsets (purc hased separately) with your 2325 telephone or if you hav e the 2365, you can f orward a call from one handset to another without announcing the caller .
26 Conference Calling 1 If one handset is already on a call, you can connect the second handset to the call by pressing P on the second handset — OR — If you are on a call and hav e the second call on hold, press P to add the held call to the confer ence call.
PHONEBOOK 27 This telephone can store up to 50 telephone numbers and names. Phone book entries are stored in alphabetical order . Storing a number and name in one handset automatically stores it in ALL registered handsets. (See “ About Adding Handsets” on page 2 f or details about additional handsets.

41 Audible Indicators This system gives y ou voice prompts f or feature operations and voice confirmations when you pr ess a button or complete an operation. 42 About Mailboxes This answ er ing system has three v oice mailboxes. Callers using a touch tone phone can select the mailbox in which their messages will be recorded by pressing 1 , 2 ,o r 3 while the system plays the outgoing announcement. All other messages will be recor ded in Mailbox 1.
