BEFORE Y OU BEGIN 3 About Caller Identification (Caller ID) This product has a Caller ID with Call W aiting featur e that works with ser vice from y our local phone ser vice provider . Caller ID with Call W aiting lets you see who’ s calling before y ou answer the phone, even when you’ re on another call.
INST ALLA TION 4 Befor e Y ou Install b) Plug batter y pack connector into handset. Use only A T&T batter y 3301 (SKU#91076). d) Replace cover by sliding it up into place. a) Remove battery compartment cover by pressing on the indentation and sliding downward.
5 INST ALLA TION 3 Charge the handset battery. Place the handset in the base. Charge the battery for at least 24 hours the first time. 4 Check for dial tone. After the batteries are charg ed, pick up the handset and press P ; you should hear a dial tone.
INST ALLA TION 6 W all Installation a) Align holes on base with mounting studs on wall jack. b) Place power cord as shown, so it hangs straight down between base and wall. c) Pull base down on mounting studs until it locks into place. 4 Follow Steps 3–5 in T able/Desk Installation.
7 Time/Date 1 Press G until the screen displays 2 Press . The month f lashes. 3 Use < or > to select the cor rect month. 4 Press . 5 Repeat Steps 3 and 4 to set the da y , hour , minute and AM or PM. Ringer Selection 1 Press G until the screen displays 2 Press > to select 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , or OFF .

Press again to release hold, or lift the handset of an e xtension. Answ er a Call Press any key e xcept O . Change Channel Switch to a clear er channel while on a call.

10 TELEPHONE OPERA TION Headset Jack Y ou can use this telephone hands-free when you install a 2.5 mm headset (SKU 24099), purchased separatel y . Plug the headset into the jack located on the right side of the handset (under the small rubber f lap). Do not for ce the connection, but make sure the plug fits securely .
11 TELEPHONE OPERA TION Displa y Screen Messages Screen Displa ys: When: STANDBY The handset is not in use. NO LINE The base is not connected to the telephone line, or the line is not wor king. RINGING There is a call coming in. CONNECTING The handset is waiting f or a dial tone.
This cordless phone can store 50 telephone numbers with names, each up to 16 digits long. Stor e Memor y Numbers 1 Make sure the handset is off. 2 Press M . The first available location is display ed in the lower right cor ner of the screen. 3 Enter the telephone number .

16 About Call Histor y This phone assigns each incoming call a number from 1 to 50. The most recent call will have the highest number . When the memor y is full, the oldest call information is deleted to make room f or new incoming call information.

19 C ALLER ID OPERA TION Call Block This featur e works with service available from your phone service provider to prevent y our call information from being seen by the people you call. T o activate call bloc k ser vice, you must enter y our ser vice provider’ s call block code eac h time you make a call.

22 BA TTERIES Replacing the Handset Battery Pack 1 Remove the battery compartment cover on the handset by pressing on the indentation and sliding the cov er downward. 2 Lift out the old battery pack and disconnect. 3 Plug battery pack connector into handset.
