1 Chapter 1 Introduction Overview The KVM Over the NET TM series of switches are IP-based KVM control units that allow both local and remote ope rators to monitor and access multiple servers from a single console.

Chapter 2. Hardware Setup 17 Rack Mounting The KVM Over the NET TM switch can be mounted in a 19" (1U ) rack . The mounting brackets can screw into either the front or the back of the unit so that it can attach to the front or the back of the rack.

The File Menu allows the operator to Create, Save, and Open user created Work files ( see The File Menu , page 41 ).

KVM Over the NET™ User Manual 42 Java Client AP Login In those cases in which the Administ rator does not wa nt the KV M Over the NET TM switch to be available via browse r access, but the local client users aren’t running Windows, the Java AP C lient provides direct remote access to non-Windows systems users.

KVM Over the NET™ User Manual 66 Gamma Adjustment If it is necessary to correct the gamma level for the remote video display, use the Gamma function of the Video Adjustm ent dialog box. Under Basic configuration, there are ten pres et and four user -defined levels to choose from.

By default, messages are posted to all users. T o post a message to one individual user , select the user's name before sending your message.
