Installat ion 3-5 3 E1 N ETWORK C ONNECTION The eight port con nector can be eith er a DB-9, DB-1 5, or BNC. The connectors are located on the DL3800E unit back panel for connecting to the E1 networks. Connect the DL3800E unit to each E1 Network using the appr opriate cable and connectors, available fr om Quick Eagle Networks.

Installat ion 3-7 3 Daisy Chai ning Multiple DL3800E units can be daisy-chained together through the T erminal Por t to provide centralized network monito ring and mana gement capabilities. A ribbon-type cable with DB-9 connectors is available from Quick Eagle Networks for daisy-chaining your DL3800E units.

5-1 5 Front Panel Interface 5 G ENERAL The fro nt panel ( Figure 5-1 ) feature s a 16 character vacuum fluor escent display and four buttons that help you to move through the various menus to configure the unit, perform tests, and obtain vital performance data.
