1 1. B ef ore Y ou Star t ... Thank you f or buying a R angemaster c ooker . It should give y ou many years of tr ouble -free cooking if installed and operated corr ectly . It is impor tant that y ou read this section before you start, par ticularly if y ou have not used an induction cooker before .
2 Use dry oven glo ves when applicable – using damp gloves migh t result in steam burns when you touch a hot sur fac e. Do not use a tow el or other bulky cloth in place of a glov e – it might catch fire if brought in to contact with a hot sur fac e.

6 F or best results, slide the carriage back into the grill chamber and preheat the appropriat e par t(s) of the grill for two minutes. The grill trivet can be r emoved and the food placed on it while you are waiting f or the grill to preheat. Once the grill has preheat ed, slide the carriage out again.
7 Ensure that dairy foods, meat and poultry are completely defrosted bef ore cooking. F an oven This function operates the fan and the heating element around it. An even hea t is produced throughout the ov en, allowing you to c ook large amounts quickly .
8 Browning element This function uses the element in the top of the oven only . It is a useful function for the browning or finishing of pasta dishes, vegetables in sauc e, shepherds pie and lasagne , the item to be browned being already hot befor e switching to the top element.
9 The Clock Setting the time of day The L CD clock is shown in (Fig .2-17) . W hen the clock is first connected, the display flashes ( 0.00 ) and ( ) alternat ely. T o set the time, turn and hold the Timer k nob t o the clock symbol ( ) and at the same time turn the Adjusting knob left or right until the clock shows the time of da y .

When you r etur n, turn the Timer knob to the vertical ( ) to return to manual cooking.
11 Ac cessories Oven Shelv es – Lef t-hand (Main) Oven In addition to the flat shelves (F ig.2-30) , some models are supplied with a drop shelf (F ig.2-31) . The drop shelf increases the possibilities for ov en shelf spacing. The oven shelv es can be easily removed and refitt ed.

15 5. Cleaning Y our C o ok er Isolate the electricity supply before carrying out any major cleaning. Allow the c ooker to cool. Never use pain t solvents , washing soda, caustic cleaners, biological powders , bleach, chlorine based bleach cleaners, coarse abr asives or salt.

18 6. T roubleshooting Interference with and repairs t o the hob MUST NO T be carried out by unqualified persons. Do not try to repair the hob as this may r esult in injur y and damage to the hob . Please arrange for repair by a suitably competent person.
19 F ood is cooking too slowly , too quickly , or burning Cooking times may differ fr om your previous oven. Check that y ou are using the recommended temperatures and shelf positions – see the o ven cooking guide. Then adjust the settings according t o your own individual tastes .

22 Low er the T wo Rear Rollers F irst fit the levelling tool on the hexagonal adjusting nut (Fig .7-5) . Make 10 complete (360°) turns clockwise (Fig .7-6) . ( This means turning and removing the levelling t ool 20 times.) Make sure you low er BOTH REAR ROLLERS.
