Press the More key to access the next layer of context-sensitive soft keys (self-labeled). The keys on either side of the LCD disp lay area are self -labeled line/pro grammable feature keys , with la bels on the LCD.
About the Avaya 1140E IP Deskphone 22 Your Mute key functionality is enab led or disabled by you r system administrator. Contact your system administ rator to determine if your Mu te key is enabled. If your Mute key is enabled, press the Mute key to listen to the re ceiving part y without transmitting.

This r e sults in severe damage to the IP Deskphone. Consult your system administra tor to ensure that you plug your IP Deskphone into a 10/ 100BaseT Ethernet jack.

Connecting the components 43 Figure 6: Remove the stand cover 2. Connect the global power supply (o ptional). Connect the global power supply to the AC adapter jack in the bottom of the phone. Form a small bend in the cable, and the n thread the adapter cord thr ough the channels in the stand.

Virtual Private Network 48 V ir tual Private Network A Virtual Private Network (VPN) is a network that uses a public network infrastructure, such as th e Internet, to provide you with secure access to the private network of your organization.
