5 Getting Started Before b eginning the ins tallat ion, please read through the installat ion procedure described in this manual. 5.1 Installation Requirements To begin using the TV Media Player, you will need: • A television set (TV) with either a HDMI connect ion or availabl e AV composite cable connections for au dio and video.
• Composite Vide o Plug the suppl ied RCA cable into the A/V port o n the rear panel of the TV M edia Player and the opposite end of the cable into the composite video in connector on your TV. • HDMI Vide o Plug the HDMI cable into the HDM I c onnector on the back panel of the TV Media Player.
Audio Con nection s The TV Media Player su pports digital audio over HDMI or S/PDIF. Altern atively a RCA analogue connection for the st ere o audio signal can be used . • Analog ue A udio ( RCA) Plug the suppl ied RCA cable into the A/V port and the r ed and white connecto rs into the colour-coded Audio connecto rs o f your stereo receiver.
5.2.3 Connect power to the TV Medi a Play er Connect the supplied 12V DC adapter t o a fr ee wall socket. Connect the other end to the designated port on the back of the TV Media Player. 5.2.4 Connect USB t o the T V Media P laye r The TV Media Player automatically searches th e disk for supported media content.
6 Navigating the menu Once the TV M edia Player is connected and th e (USB) hard disk contains digital media files it automati cally begins searching for supported m edia.
Use this setting to select the video display re solution when using the HDMI interface. The default setting is Auto. Note: Full HD quality can be r eceiv ed when the mode is set t o 1080p. Pleas e note that your TV needs t o be capabl e of showing this resolution.
6.3 Home M enu Every time you start the system, y ou will see the Home M enu. At the Home M enu, use the arrow keys ‘ Left’ an d ‘Right’ buttons to select each item, to enter the item please press 'OK' button. Each item is described as below.
In the Photo m enu you can br owse thr ough your photos and view them. 6.3.4 Movies In the Movies m enu you can br owse th rough the videos and watch them. These are all items in th e Home M enu. In the next chapters thes e items will be described in more detail.
6.4 Settings Menu It is recomm ended to u se the S etup menu before first using the system. In the Hom e Menu, us e the ‘L eft’ and ‘Right’ buttons to s elect ‘Settings’ and press th e ‘OK’ button to ente r the menu. 6.4.1 System Settings -> System 6.

Set the scan mode of the st orage d etection. Auto scan on - syst em will scan the storage au tomatically. Auto scan off - s ystem wil l not scan the storage. Rescan storage – manually scan the storag e. Stop scanning storage – do not scan th e storage.
6.4.2.1 Nig ht Mode Settings -> Audio -> Night Mode This setting is to switch the “Night Mode”. With this setting you can limi t the maximum volume output.
This setting is to switch the audio output over the HDM I connection. If the TV suppo rts 1080P 24HZ , you can turn o n this option. 6.4.4 Network Settings -> Network 6.4.4.1 Wired LAN Setup Settings -> Network -> Wired LAN Setup Set “DHCP IP” o r “Fixed I P” for the Ethernet LAN IP configuration of this player.

6.5 Music Me nu In the Music menu you can brows e through your music files and play them. 6.5.1 Playing Audio Music -> press ‘ OK’ or ‘Play’ button If you want to play the selected music file, pres s the ‘OK’ button or the ‘Play’ button to start playback.
You can press the ‘Option’ button to select the ‘Repeat Mode’ during playback: Repeat Off Repeat One Repeat All Shuffle Loop 6.
Pressing the ‘Option’ button in the Music brows er will pop up the Option window which can switch the browsing file mode. You have th e following opti ons: Thumbnail List Preview Use the arr ow ‘Up’ and ‘Down’ buttons to select and press th e ‘OK’ button to co nfirm.

During playback, you can press th e ‘Option’ button to change the slide show settings. You can use the f ollowing settings: Repeat off – T o Stop Slide Show. Repeat all – To show all files in the play list. Shuffle Loop - Randomly select file in the play li st during Sl ide Show 6.

During playback, you can also press the ‘Option’ button to change playback settings. 6.7.1.1 DVD M enu Movies -> Playback -> press ‘Option’ button -> DVD M enu When playing a DVD, this wil l return you to the DVD main menu.
