Installation instructions 5 2. Inst allation and hook-up Remove the polystyrene bask et retainers. Position the appliance in the desired place of installation. The back or sides of the dish washer may be placed up a gainst walls or other furniture units.
Installation instructions 6 2.1 Water supply connection Preventing the risk of clogging or damage: if the water pipe is new or has not been used for a long t ime, before connecting to the water supply check that the water is clear and free of impu rities, to prevent damage t o the appliance.
Installation instructions 7 2.2 Electrical connection and precaution s CHECK THAT THE VOLTAGE AND THE FREQUENCY OF THE MAINS MATCH THE RATINGS ON THE NAME PLATE OF THE APPLIANCE POSITIONED ON THE INNER EDGE OF THE DOOR. THE PLUG ON THE SUPPLY CORD AND THE CORRESPONDING SOCKET OUTLET MUST BE OF THE SAME TYPE AND MEET THE REGULATIONS IN FORCE.

User instructions 10 SETTING THE WASHING PROGRAM To select the most suitable program fo r the dishes to be washed refer to the table below, which indicat es the most appropriate program acc ording to dish type and degree of soiling.
User instructions 11 3.2 Washing programs The dishwasher is eq uipped with a control panel, described in chapter "3. Description of the controls", from which it is possi ble to carry out all the power switch-on, switch-off and progr amming operations.
User instructions 12 END OF PROGRAM At the end of the program the beeper sounds briefly and the pr ogram lights 4 and 5 (marked "end") flash.
User instructions 13 In case that the door is opened during the oper ation, to the next door closing it is going to be necessary to start the program as shown in paragraph “ S TARTI NG THE PROGRAM ”. The program will resume from the point in which it was interrupted.

User instructions 15 4. Operating instructions Once the dishwasher h as been correctly installed, prepare for us e as follows: • Adjust the water softening system; • Add the regenerating salt; • Add the rinse aid and deter ge nt.
User instructions 16 • Do not use table salt as it contains insoluble substances which, over time, may damage the water softening system. • When necessary, refill the r ege nerating salt container before starting the washing program .

User instructions 18 ADDING THE RINSE AID The rinse aid he lps the dishes dry faster and prevents the formation of scale deposits and staining; it is automatic all y added to the water during the final rinse c ycle, from the container situated on the inner side of the door.
User instructions 19 ADDING THE DETERGENT To open the detergent dispenser cap, l ightly press the button P . Add the detergent and clos e the cap carefully.
User instructions 20 • The market offers liqu id and powder detergents with differing chemical compositions, w hich may contain phosphates , or be phosphate-free but contain natural enzymes . - Detergents containing phosphates are more effective against grease and starch at temperat u res above 60°C .
User instructions 21 4.3 General warnings and recommendations Before using the dishw asher for the first time, it is advisable to read the following recomme ndations concerning dis h types to be washed an d their loading.
User instructions 22 Items which are not dishwash er-s afe: • Wooden dishes, po ts or pans: these may be damage d by the high washing temperatures. • Handcrafted items: thes e are rarely suitable for washing in a dishwasher. The relatively high water temperatures and the detergents used may damage them.
User instructions 23 4.4 Using the baskets The dishwasher has a capacit y of 12 place-settings , including serving dishes. LOWER BASKET The lower basket receives the full force o f the lower spray arm, and should therefore be use d for the “t oughest” items with a heavier degree of soiling.
User instructions 24 CUTLERY BASKET The cutlery should be arrang ed in an orderly manner inside the basket, with the handles pointin g downwards. Take care during loadi ng to avoid injury from the knife blades. T he basket is suitabl e for al l t ypes of cutler y, except those l ong enough to interfere w i th the upper spray arm.
User instructions 25 UPPER BASKET It is recommended to load the upper bask et with small- or medium-sized items such as glass es, small plates, tea or coffee cups, shall ow bowls and light objec ts made from heat resistant plastic.
User instructions 26 Depending on the models, the basket ma y be equipped with some or all of the following accessories: - Supports for cups or long ob jects (ladles, spoons…), on the left; can be tipped to the vertical position when not in use. - Long-stemmed glass holder, on t he left; to use, simply lift and fix onto the hooks provided.
User instructions 27 ADJUSTING THE UPPER BA S KET The height of the top b asket can be adjusted to al low large dishes or pans to be placed in the bottom basket. The adjustment procedure m ay be type A , B or C , depending on the dishwasher model purchased.
User instructions 28 Version C: with adjustment in three positions on both sides. The sides of the basket must always be set at the sam e height . This adjustment is only available on some “ maxi ” model dishwashers (at least 860 mm tall).
User instructions 29 5. Cleaning and maintenance Before carrying out any work, a lways unplug the appliance from the electrical supply or switch off the all-pol e disconnection device. 5.1 General warnings and recommendations Avoid the use of acidic or abrasi ve detergents.
User instructions 30 CLEANING THE FILTER UNIT • It is adv isable to periodically ins pect the centre filter C and, if necessary, to clean it. To remove the filter, grip th e tabs, turn them anticloc.
User instructions 31 BEFORE STARTING THE DISHWASHER AFTER PROLONGED DISUSE: • Check that there are no deposits of sludge or rust inside t he water pipe: if there are, allow the water to run from the water s upp ly tap for a few minutes. • Plug the power cord back into the socket.
User instructions 32 If the dishes fail to dry or remain dull, check that: • there is rinse aid inside the special c ontainer; • the rinse aid dispenser setting is correct; • the detergent used is of good quality and has not lost its effectiveness (for example, throu gh incorre ct storage, with the box left open).

User instructions 34 FAULT DESCRIPTION E7 Turbine flow-regulator malfunction The appliance is not able to "measur e" the amount of water loaded accurately. Interrupt the program and s witch off the dishwasher. Switch the dish w as her back on, program it again and start the washing cycle.
