Installation instructions 5 2. Inst allation and hook-up Remove the polystyrene b asket retainers. Position the applianc e in the desired place of installation. The back or sides of the dish washer may b e placed up against walls or other furniture units.
Installation instructions 6 2.1 Water supply connection Preventing the risk of clogging or damage: if the water pipe is new or has not been used for a long t ime, before connecti ng to the water supply check that the water is clear and free of i mpurities, to prevent dama ge to the appliance.
Installation instructions 7 2.2 Electrical connection and precautions CHECK THAT THE VOLTAGE AND THE FREQUENCY OF THE MAINS MATCH THE RATINGS ON THE NAME PLATE OF THE APPLIANCE POSITIONED ON THE INNER EDGE OF THE DOOR. THE PLUG ON THE SUPPLY CORD AND THE CORRESPONDING SOCKET OUTLET MUST BE OF THE SAME TYPE AND MEET THE REGULATIONS IN FORCE.

User instructions 10 SETTING THE WASHING PROGRA M To select the most suitable program fo r the dishes to be washed refer to the table belo w, which i ndicates the most appropri ate progr am according to dish type and degr ee of soi ling.
User instructions 11 3.2 Washing programs The dish washer is equipped with a control pa nel, describ ed in chapter "3. Description of the controls", from which it is possible to carr y out all the power switch-on, s witch-off and programming operati on s.
User instructions 12 END OF PROGRAM At the end of the program the beeper sounds briefly and the pr ogram lights 4 and 5 (marked "en d") flash.
User instructions 13 In case that the door is opened during the oper ation, to t he next door closing it is going to be ne cessary to start the program as show n in paragra ph “ S TARTING THE PROGRAM ”. The program will resume fro m the point in which it w as interrupted.

User instructions 15 4. Operating instructions Once the dishwash er has been correctl y installed, prepa re for use as follows: • Adjust the water softening system; • Add the regenerating salt; • Add the rinse aid and deter gent.
User instructions 16 • Do not use tab le salt as it contains insolubl e substances which, over time, may damage the water softening system. • When necessary, refill the r egenerating salt container before starting the washing prog ram .

User instructions 18 ADDING THE RINSE AID The rinse aid helps the dis hes dry faster and prevents the formation of scale depos its and staining; it is automatic ally added to the water during the final rins e cycle, from the containe r situated on the inner side of the door.
User instructions 19 ADDING THE DETERGENT To open the detergent dispe nser cap, lightly press the button P . Add the deter gent and close the cap carefully.
User instructions 20 • The market o ffers liquid and pow der detergents with differin g chemical co mpositions, which may contain phosphates , or be phosphate-free but contai n natural enzymes . - Detergents containin g phosphates are more effective ag ainst grease and starch at tempera tures above 6 0°C .
User instructions 21 4.3 General warnings and recommendations Before using the dis hwasher for the first time, it is advisab le to read the following reco mmendations concerning d ish types to b e washed an d their loading.
User instructions 22 Items which are not d i shwash er-safe: • Wooden dishes, p ots or pans: these may be dama ged by the high washing temperatures. • Handcrafted items: these are rarely suita ble for washing in a dishwasher. The relative ly high water temperatur es and the detergents used may da ma ge them.
User instructions 23 4.4 Using the baskets The dish washer has a capacity of 12 place-setting s , including serv ing dishes. LOWER BASKET The lower basket receives t he full force of the lower spray arm, and should therefore be used for the “t oughest” items with a heavier degre e of soiling.
User instructions 24 CUTLERY BASKET The cutlery should be arra nged in an orderl y manner inside the basket, with the handles poi nting downwards. T ake care during lo ading to avoid injury from the knife blad es. The b asket is suitabl e for al l t ypes of cutlery, except those long enough to interfere with the upper s pray arm.
User instructions 25 The top baske t is fitted (on the left) with two plastic racks which can be raised to make room for tall glasses, such as stem glasses. On the right there are two cutler y racks designed to take knives and teaspoons; when not in use, they can be left vertical, a ttached to the basket.
