Safety instructions 4 LEANING OR SITTING ON THE DISHWASHER DOOR WHEN OPEN MA Y CAUSE THE APPLIANCE TO OVERTURN, PUTING PEOPLE AT RISK. NEVER LEAVE THE DISHWASHER DOOR OPEN; PEOPLE MIGHT TRIP OVER IT. KNIVES OR OTHER SHARP-ENDED COOKING UTENSILS MUST BE PLACED IN THE CUTLERY BASKET BLADE-DOWN, OR LAID HORIZONTAL IN THE TOP BASKET.
Installation instructions 5 2. Inst allation and hook-up Remove the polystyrene bask et retainers. Position the appliance in the desired place of installation. The back or sides of the dish washer may be plac ed up agai nst walls or oth er furniture units.
Installation instructions 6 CONNECTING TO THE WATER SUPPLY Connect the intake hose to a cold water supply with ¾” gas thread, inserting the filter A supplied with the dishwasher. Take care to screw the hose firmly into place with your h ands and then co mplete by tightening about ¼ of a turn with pliers .
Installation instructions 7 2.2 Electrical connection and precautions CHECK THAT THE VOLTAGE AND THE FREQUENCY OF THE MAINS MATCH THE RATINGS ON THE NAME PLATE OF THE APPLIANCE POSITIONED ON THE INNER EDGE OF THE DOOR. THE PLUG ON THE SUPPLY CORD AND THE CORRESPONDING SOCKET OUTLET MUST BE OF THE SAME TYPE AND MEET THE REGULATIONS IN FORCE.

User instructions 17 3.2 Washing programs Before starting a washing program make sure that: • The water supply tap is open. • The correct amount of detergent has been added to the dispenser . • The baskets have been correctly lo aded. • The spray arms are abl e to rotate freely and without obstruction.
User instructions 18 SPREAD HALF LOA D Suitable when there ar e not many di shes t o be washed, it saves energ y and reduces the progr am duration. Place dishes in both baskets then load the detergent dispens er than less than the normal amount for a full load.
User instructions 19 CANCELLING THE CURRENT PROGRAM • To cancel the currently sele c ted program, open the door and hold down the PROGRAM SELECTION (3) button for a few seconds until the indicator lights for programs 4 and 5 illuminate simultaneously (the word "end" is displ ayed on the window).
User instructions 20 If the door has to be opened while w ashing is in pr ogress, the pr ogram will be interrupted. The relativ e light will keep flashi ng and a beeper wil l signal that the cycle has not been completed. You must wait about 1 minute before closing the door to rest art the program.
User instructions 21 4. Operating instructions Once the dishwasher h as been correctly installed, pr epare for use as follows: • Adjust the water softening system; • Add the regenerating salt; • Add the rinse aid and deter gent.
User instructions 22 • Do not use tabl e salt as it contains insoluble substanc es which, over time, may damage the water softening system. • When necessary, refill the r egenerating salt contain er before starting the washing progra m .

User instructions 24 ADDING THE RINSE AID The rinse aid he lps the dishes dry faster and prevents the formation of scale deposits and staining; it is automatic all y added to the water during the final rinse c ycle, from the container situated on the inner side of the door.
User instructions 25 ADDING THE DETERGENT To open the detergent dispenser cap, l ightly press the button P . Add the detergent and clos e the cap carefully .
User instructions 26 Flexi Tabs If you wish to use detergents w hich already contain sa lt and rinse aid, check whether your dishwasher is fitted w ith the " Flexi Tabs option button " on the " Controls description " pag e and then refer to the section which explains how to use this funct ion.
User instructions 27 WARNING! • Make sure that the dishes are secu rely in pla ce so that they cannot tip over or obstruct the rotati on of the spray arms during the washing cycle. • Do not place very small obj ects in the baskets as these c ould fall and obstruct the spray arms or the wash pump.
User instructions 28 4.4 Using the baskets The dishwasher has a capacit y of 13 place-settings , includi ng serving dishes. LOWER BASKET The lower basket receives the full force o f the lower spray arm, and should therefore be use d for the “t oughest” items with a heavier degree of soiling.
User instructions 29 LOADING THE LOWER BA SKET Carefully load flat plates, soup plates, dessert a nd serving dis hes, positioning them vertically. Pots, pans and their covers m ust be loaded upside down. When l oading soup plat es and dessert bo wls, be sure to leave a gap bet ween them.
User instructions 30 CUTLERY BASKET The basket has remo vable top gri ds into which items of cutlery should be inserted to keep them properl y spaced and all ow water to pass between them effectivel y. The top grids and central li d are in the bag of accessories .
User instructions 31 UPPER BASKET It is recommended to load the upper bask et with small- or medi um-sized items such as glass es, small plates, tea or coffee cups, shallo w bowls and light objec ts made from heat resistant plastic.
User instructions 32 Depending on the mode ls, the basket may be equipped with some or all of the following accessories: - Supports for cups or long ob jects (ladles, spoons…), on the left; can be tipped to the vertical position when not in use. - Long-stemmed glass holder, on t he left; to use, simply lift and fix onto the hooks provided.
User instructions 33 ADJUSTING THE UPPER BA SKET The height of the top b asket can be adjust ed to allo w large dishes or pans to be placed in the bottom basket. The adjustment procedure ma y be type A or B , depending on the dishwasher model purchased.
User instructions 34 5. Cleaning and maintenance Before carrying out any work, a lways unplug the appliance from the electrical supply or switch off the a ll-pole dis connection devic e. 5.1 General warnings and recommendations Avoid the use of acidic or abrasi ve detergents.
User instructions 35 CLEANING THE FILTER UNIT • It is advisable to periodically inspect the centre filter C and, if necessary, to clean it. To remove the filter, grip th e tabs, turn them anticlockw.
User instructions 36 BEFORE STARTING THE DISHWASHER AFTER PROLONGED DISUSE: • Check that there are no deposits of sludge or rust inside t he water pipe: if there are, allow the water to run from the water supply tap f or a few minutes. • Plug the power cord back into the socket.
User instructions 37 If the dishes fail to dry or remain dull, check that: • there is rinse aid inside the sp ecial container; • the rinse aid dispenser setting is correct; • the detergent used is of good qu ality and has not lost its effectiveness (for example, throu gh incorre ct storage, with the box left open).
User instructions 38 6. T roubleshooting The dishwasher is abl e to indicate a series of malfunctions by illuminating a numb er of lights simultaneo usly (see key b elow); “E” or “Err” (d epending on the m odel) also appear s on the display i n the event of a malfunction.
