Installation inst r uction s 5 2. Installation and hook-up Remove the polystyrene basket retainers. Position the appliance in the desired place of installa tion. The back or sides of the dishwasher m ay be placed up against walls or o ther furniture units.
Installation inst r uction s 6 2.1 Water supply conn ection Preventing the risk o f clogging or damage: if the water pipe is new or has not been used for a long time, before connecting to the water supply check that the water i s clear and fre e of impurities, to prevent d amage to the appliance.

User instructio ns 17 3.2 Washing program s Before starting a washing program make sure that: • The water supply tap is open. • The correct amount of detergent has been a dded to the dispenser . • The baskets have been correctly loaded. • The spray arms are able to rotate freely and w ithout obstruction.
User instructio ns 18 SPREAD HALF LOAD Suitable when th ere are not many dis hes to be washed, i t saves energy and reduces the program duration. Place dishes in both baskets then load the detergent dispenser than less th an the normal amount for a full load.
User instructio ns 19 CANCELLING THE CURRENT PROGRAM • To cancel the currently selected pro gram, open th e door and hold down the PROGRAM SELECTION (3 ) button for a few seconds until the indicator lights for programs 4 and 5 illuminate simultaneously (the word "end" is displayed on the window).
User instructio ns 20 If th e do or has to be opened while washing is in progress, t he p rogram will be interrupted. The relative l ight will k eep flashing and a beeper will signal that the cyc le has no t be en completed. You must wait about 1 minute b efore closing the door to re start the program.
User instructio ns 21 4. Operating instructions Once the dishwasher has been correctly installed, prepare for use as follows: • Adjust the water softening system; • Add the regenerating salt; • Add the rinse aid and detergent.
User instructio ns 22 • Do not use table salt as it con tains i nsoluble substances which, over time, may damage the water softening system. • When necessary, refill the regenerating salt container before starting the washing program .

User instructio ns 24 ADDING THE RINSE AID The rins e aid helps the dishes d ry faster and prevents the fo rmation of scale deposits and staining; it is automatically added to the w ater during the final rinse cyc l e, from the co ntainer situated on the inner side of the door.
User instructio ns 25 ADDING THE DETERGENT To open the detergent dispenser cap, l ightly press the button P . Add the detergent a nd close the cap carefully.
User instructio ns 26 The introduction of detergent into the rins e aid dispenser, even in liquid form, will damage the dishwasher. 4.3 General warnings and recommend ations Before using the dish washer for the first time, it is advisable to read the following recommendations concerning dish t ypes to be washe d and their loading.
User instructio ns 27 WARNING! • Make sure that the d ishes are securely in pl ace so that they cannot tip ov er or obst ruct the rotation of t he spray arms during the washing cycle. • Do not place very small objects in the baskets as these c ould fall and obstruct the spray arms or the wash pump.
User instructio ns 28 4.4 Using the baskets The dish washer has a cap acity of 14 place-settings , including serving dishes. LOWER BASKET The lower b asket receives the full force of the l ower s pray arm, and should the refore be used for the “toughest ” items with a heavier degree of soiling.

User instructio ns 31 TOP CUTLERY BASKET The basket is desi gned to take cutlery, placed in the spa ces provided, and long utensils, positioned lengthwise. The “dra wer” e xtraction system ma kes the basket easier to load, but it can also be taken completely off its runners by removing the retainers (as shown here).
User instructio ns 32 CUTLERY BASKET The bas ket has removable top grids in to which i tems o f cutlery should be inserted to keep them properly s paced and allow water t o pass between them effectively. The top grids and cen tral lid are in the b ag of accessories .
User instructio ns 33 UPPER BASKET It is recommended to load the up per basket with small- or medium-sized items such as glasses, small plates, tea or coffee cups, shallow bowls and light objects made from heat resistant p lastic.

User instructio ns 36 ADJUSTING THE UPPER BASKET The hei ght of the top basket can be a djusted to allow large d ishes or pans to be placed in the bottom basket. The a djustment procedure may be type A or B , depen ding on the dishwasher model purchased.
User instructio ns 37 5. Cleaning and maintenance Before carrying out a ny work, always unplug the appliance from the electrical supply or switch off the all-pole disconnection device. 5.1 General warnings and recommend ations Avoid the use of acidic or abrasive detergents.
User instructio ns 38 CLEANING THE FILTER UNIT • It is ad visable to periodically inspect the cen tre filter C and, if necessary, to clean it. To remove the filter, grip the tabs, turn t hem anticlo.
User instructio ns 39 BEFORE STARTING THE DISHWASHER AFTER PROLONGED DISUSE: • Check that there are no deposits of s ludge o r rust inside the wa ter pipe: if there are, allow the water to run fro m the water supply tap for a few minutes. • Plug the power cord back into the socket.
User instructio ns 40 If the dishes fail to dry or remain dull, check that: • there is rinse aid inside the special container; • the rinse aid dispenser setting is correct; • the detergent used is of good quality and has not lost i ts effectiveness (for example, through in correct storage, wi th the box left open).
User instructio ns 41 6. T roubleshooting The dishwasher is able to indicate a series of malfunctions by illuminating a number of lights simultaneously (see key below); “E” o r “Err” (depending on the model) also appe ars on the d isplay in the event of a malfunction.
