6 IMPORT ANT! PLEASE READ BEFORE USING YOUR INDAGO. T o enable your Indago to locate Fixed Speed Cameras and Accident Blackspots you will have to register and download the Enigma TM Camera Database. There are four ways to register your unit: Register Online Go to the official website www .
7 Quick Start Guide to Navigation 1. T ake the Indago outside, if you haven't already done so, so that the GPS receiver can locate your position. This may take up to 30 minutes the first time the Indago is used. When satellite lock is achieved the screen displays your current position on its map in a '3D' navigation view .

T o change the route options refer to section 6 in this manual . Click and the Indago will calculate the fastest route from your current position to your destination.
9 Start Up – Installing the SD Card Before using your Indago you need to install the SD Card included with the device. The SD Card comes complete with a digital map of the UK and Ireland and is also where the Enigma TM camera database is stored if you choose to download it.
10 Downloading the Enigma TM Camera Database Plug the charger cable into the socket on the back of the Indago Plug the charger into a 240V AC mains socket Please Note: Y ou MUST subscribe to this service before you can perform a download. Performing a download is simple.
11 Installing your Indago DO NOT leave the unit in view when the car is stationary during hot conditions. Exposing the Indago to extremely high temperatures can temporarily impair performance.
12 Plug the charger cable into the socket on the back of the Indago Plug the charger into a 240V AC mains socket The unit can be powered directly either from its internal battery if it 's fully charged or powered from the cigarette lighter socket.
13 Standby power switch Powering the Indago using the built-in battery Once the Indago has been fully charged it is ready for use. Push the ‘Batt. ON/OFF’ switch to the ‘ON’ position and press and hold the standby power switch on the left hand side of the unit for 2 seconds to activate the device.
14 3D 2D North As the GPS engine and antenna have never been used before, the first 'Cold ' start could take anywhere from 15 Ð 50 minutes to establish a satellite connection. Once initialised, subsequent start ups will take less time and eventually should take only a matter of minutes.
15 Next touch the icon where you will see the list of options below . T o change a setting select with your finger and a list of the options available will be shown next to a tick box. Simply press on the tick box to indicate which option you would like to choose.
16 3. Planning a route T o enter the Navigation menu simply touch the centre of the Indago display with your finger . 3.1 T ouch the centre of the Indago's screen to access the menu and then press the 'Full Post Code' icon. Next, using the onscreen keyboard, enter the full postcode of your destination then press the button.
17 User advice By subscribing to and downloading the Enigma TM Speed Camera database you will automatically be alerted to all 'Fixed' Cameras and other Accident Hotspots during your journey ensuring that you are always aware of the correct speed limit whilst traveling along any particularly hazardous stretches of road.
18 Next you need to enter the Street or Road name. Press 'Street' and again type in the information using the keyboard displayed. As before the unit will automatically begin to prompt you with a list of road and street names.
19 The first time the ‘Home’ function is used the Indago will ask if you want to set your home location, press OK in the information window . If ‘Home’ has already been set it can be edited in My Favourites – refer to section 4 on page 26 3.
20 Finally you can enter your house number by selecting ‘House No.’ and entering the number using the keyboard. Once your Indago has successfully found your address, press ‘Save’. Once your home address has been saved, your Indago will be able to calculate a route to this address.
21 A list of your most recent routes will be shown in chronological order , use the down arrow on the right hand side of the display to scroll through the list and select the destination you would like the Indago to navigate to. An ‘Information Of Destination’ screen will appear confirming the address you have selected.
22 page, press the return arrow located in the bottom right hand corner of the display . If you would like to change any of the route parameters press ‘Route Option’ (see Route Option on page 36 for specific instructions). T o return to the ‘Information of Destination’ page press ‘Done’.
23 Press the ‘Find by Category’ button and enter the type of POI you would like to navigate to. As you begin to input the POI, the device will automatically prompt you with a list of possible POI’s. If you can see the name of the POI you are searching for in the lower window you can access it easily by selecting it with your finger .
24 Now press ‘Search Name’ and either type the name of the POI or press the down arrow located in the top right hand corner of the display to reveal a list of possible POI’s. T o select the POI press the name from the list with your finger . An ‘Information of Destination’ screen will appear confirming the POI you have selected.
25 If you would like to view the map again, press ‘Map’. T o return to the ‘Information of Destination’ page, press the return arrow located in the bottom right hand corner of the display . If you would like to change any of the route parameter s press ‘Route Option’ (see Route Option on page 36 for specific instructions).
26 3.1 1.3 If you do not wish to use the alternative routes offered by the Indago and you wish to return to the original calculated route, press the ‘Clear Avoided Road’ button and the original route plotted by the Indago will be restored. Once the re-calculation of the original route is complete the summary screen is displayed.
27 4.1 T o add an address to your ‘Favourites’, access the Menu by pressing the centre of the Indago’s display and press the ‘My Favourite’ button at the top of the display . Next press the ‘Favourites’ icon and then press ‘Add’. Y ou can now search for the address in a variety of ways as described in previous sections.
28 4.3 This function can be used to delete any or all of the 100 user stored locations that are stored in the Indago. (For further information on saving new user points please refer to the section ‘Saving User Points’ on page 42).
29 4.3.3 T o delete ALL stored User Points Press the centre of the Indago’s display to enter the menu, press the ‘My Favourite’ button at the top of the display and then press the ‘User Points’ icon.
30 4.5 As with the ‘Home’ function Indago can also save the address details of your place of work so that you can calculate a route with the minimum amount of fuss. Press the centre of the Indago’s display to access the Menu, select ‘My Favourite’ at the top of the display and then select the ‘Office’ icon.
31 5.1.1 The Indago enables you to adjust the brightness of the display and save two brightness settings; one for driving during the day and one for driving at night. 5.1.2 T o set the day time brightness highlight ‘DA Y’ by checking the tick box and using the and buttons to adjust the setting.
32 5.4 5.4.1 The ‘Setup’ function allows you to customise the visual information provided by the navigation screen. T o alter any of these settings press the centre of the Indago’s display to enter the menu then press the ‘Configure’ button at the top of the display and finally press the ‘Setup’ icon.
33 5.4.1.3 This option allows you to switch the information on the Indago between metric and imperial measurement. T o make your selection, touch the relevant tick box with your finger .
34 5.6 Auto Scale is programmed by default to ‘On’ during manufacture. Auto Scale automatically magnifies the map as you approach a junction or roundabout, where you may need to make a turning, so that you can see it in more detail. Auto Scale can be turned on and off as you wish.
35 5.7.3 Smart Mute Y ou can choose between the following options: Ye s : The Indago will only emit an audible tone if you are travelling above the speed limit at a safety camera location**. No: The Indago will emit a warning irrespective of speed (the vehicle must be travelling above 20 mph).
36 5.9 Y ou can check the health of your GPS connection at any time as well as being able to see the exact coordinates of your current position by using this feature. Access the Menu by touching the centre of the Indago’s display press the ‘Configure’ button at the top of the screen.
37 There are a number of different options available to enable you to select either the most efficient route for you to take or to enable you to personalise the route calculated. The following options are available every time you program a route, whether you search by Post Code, City or by a POI.
38 6.2.2 If you wish to avoid several roads from the selected route plotted by the Indago, then this facility allows you to re-calculate a route over a user defined distance ranging from 1 mile up to a maximum of 100 miles. T o use this facility press the ‘Avoid by Range’ button and the ‘Select avoided Range’ page will be displayed.
39 6.4 Y ou can use this function if you would like to calculate a route but from a dif ferent location to the one you are currently at. First input your destination address as normal but when you reach the Summary page, press the ‘Route Option’ button.
40 7.1 V olume Setting Selecting this option opens the V olume menu whereby you can increase or decrease the audio level of the unit. T o adjust the volume, use your finger to press either the button to increase the volume or the button to decrease the volume.
41 8.0 Understanding the Mapping Screen Distance to next junction or instruction Whilst navigating a calculated route the Indago display will show an orange information box. This box will tell you the next road you should be travelling on and the distance to that turn.
42 9.0 Speed Camera Alert Patterns T o enable your Indago to alert you to Fixed Speed Cameras and Accident Blackspots you will have to register and download the Enigma TM Camera Database.
43 9.4.1 T roubleshooting – Saving New User Points When you attempt to save the new User Point and the display reads ‘Memory Full’ it means that the memory in your Indago is completely full. If you want to store any different coordinates you will have to either delete some or all of the existing coordinates stored in the unit’s memory .
44 If you are having any difficulty in performing a download onto your Indago unit it is advisable to refer to the checklist in Section A first before contacting us. If you are still unable to perform a download after following all of this checklist then please send an email to indago- technical@performanceproducts.
45 6. Have you installed the Indago download software on your PC? If you have not installed the software you will not be able to perform a download to your Indago. Once the software is installed there will be a new icon in your system tray which is located at the bottom right hand side of your desktop near the system clock.
