Overheating Sensors located on each audio module will shut the amplifier off if the heatsink temperature reaches 175° F (80° C).

Internal fuses on the power supply rails of each channel protect the loudspeakers from excessive current, as well as the amplifier from short-circuits.
DC Offset The Ayre V-5xe incorporates a circuit to detect the presence of DC at the output terminals. In this situation, the amplifier reverts to the red “Warm-Up” mode, and power is immediately removed from the output stage.
