21 Gettin g Started • It takes a few seconds for your camcorder to be ready to shoot after the power is turned on. You cannot operate your camcorder during this time. • The lens cover opens automatically when the power is turned on. It closes when the playback screen is selected, or the power is turned off.

Move the power zoom lever sl ightly for a slower zoom . Move it furthe r for a faster zoom. b Not es • Be sure to keep your finger on t he power zoom lever.
32 When you press QUICK ON, the camcord er goes to slee p mode (pow er saving mode ) instead of turning off. Th e QUICK O N lamp keeps fl ashing duri ng slee p mode. P ress QU ICK ON agai n to start recording next time. Y our camcorde r returns to record ing stan dby in approxi mately 1 sec ond.
