25 Basic Operat ions Shoo ting im ages • The shooting mode will a utomatically stop in either of the following situations. – When the f ile size of the movie being recorded e xceeds 2 GB. – After the maximum shooting durati on time* for each file has passed.

Shooting a stil l image while shooting movie s When yo u press PHO TO while shooting movies, the same picture as the movie being sho t will be rec orded as a still ima ge.

66 T rouble shooting T roubles hooting If you experienc e trouble with you r camera, try the fol lowing solutions. When rep a ir ing the camera, we may check a mi nimum a mount of data stored on the internal memo ry in orde r to im prove the c ond ition .
67 T r oubleshoo ting T r oubles hooting Cannot turn on the camera. • Remov e the i nsulatio n sheet. • The battery is discharged. Charge the ba ttery (page 15). • The plug of the A C Adapt or has been discon nected from the wall outl et (wall socket).
68 T r oubles hooting Recording takes a long time. • The NR slow shutter functi on is activ a ted. This is not a ma lfunction. The ima ge is out of foc us.
69 T r oubleshoo ting T r oubles hooting V er tical streaks appear w hen you are shooting a ver y bright subject. • The smear phe nomenon is occur ring and white, black , red, purple, or other streaks appear on the image . This phenomenon is no t a malfunct ion.
