P ower management operates as f ollows: After 60 minutes of inactivity , the Reader enters sleep mode automatically while the batter y power is consumed slightly .
21 Getting Started T o shut down the Reader manually Batter y consumption can be minimized b y shutting down the Reader . Y ou can shut down the Reader manually in one of the f ollowing w a ys. Slide the PO WER switch and hold it f or more than 3 seconds.
22 Getting Started Char ging the Reader About charging Y ou need to charge the Reader when using it f or the first time, or when the remaining battery power is lo w . Charge in one of the f ollowing wa ys: Connect to an A C outlet using the supplied A C adapter (A C- S5220E).
