11 Connec tions and Prepara tions Step 1: Inst alling the Projector The pro jector disp lays pic tures output f rom a V CR or o ther devi ce. The lens shi ft allows yo u to have bro ader options for placi ng th e pr ojec tor and viewing p ictures easily.

Tip The ? / 1 ( ON/STANDBY), INPUT, MENU, and M / m / < / , / (joy stick) bu ttons on the si de panel of th e project or fun ction the same as th ose on t he remot e contro l.
18 2 Press the ? / 1 (ON/STANDBY) switch to t urn on the projector. The ON/STANDBY indicator flashes in green, and then lights in green. When the ON/STANDBY indicator flashes, “Starting...” appears on the screen. 3 Display a test signal fo r performing adju stments.

21 Connec tions and Prepara tions To adjust t he tilt of the i nstallati on surf ace If the projector is installed on an uneven surface, use the adjusters to keep the projector level. • Pointing th e projector at too h igh or too l ow of a tilt will r esult in trapezoid al distort ion in the projec ted image.
22 Step 3: Connecting the Pro jector When making connect ions, be sure to do the following : • Tur n off all e quipmen t before ma king any co nnectio ns. • Use the proper cables for each connection. • Insert the cable plugs properly; poor connection at the plugs may cause a malfunction or poor picture quality.
23 Connec tions and Prepara tions • When connecting an HDMI cable to the projector, make sure th e V mark on the upp er part of the HDMI input of the projector and the v mark on the connector of the cable is set at the same position.

48 Screen Menu The Screen menu is used to adjust the in put signal. You can adjust the size of the picture, and select wide screen mode, etc. . These i tems may no t be available, depending on the type of in put signal. For details, see “Input Signals and Adjust able/Setting Ite ms” ( 1 page 75).

57 Using t he Menus This projector has 38 types of p reset d ata for input signals (the preset memory). When the preset signal is input, the projector automatically detects the sig nal type and recalls th e data for the signal f rom the preset memory to ad just it to an optimum picture.

65 Others Replacing the L amp and the Air Filter and Cleaning the Ventilation Hole s (intake) Tools yo u need to get start ed: • Projector Lamp LMP-H201 (opti onal) • Standa r d Phillips screw driver • Cloth (for scratch protection) The lamp used for the light source has a certain lifespan.
66 3 Loosen the screw on the lamp cover with a Philips screwdriver, and then open the lamp cover. 4 Loosen the 3 screws on the lamp with the Phillips screwdriver. Hold up the han dle, then pull the lam p straight out. 5 Hold the ha ndle o f the new lam p and push it in securely until it reaches the end, and then tighten th e 3 screws.
67 Others 7 Remove the filter holder. 8 Remove the air filter. 9 Attach the new air filter so that it fits into the each claws (10 positions) on the filter ho lder.
