In order to prepare your driv es for RAID and Network operation, this enclosure will congure newly installed drives in to an acceptable format (exF A T ). Please be aware that an y data currently on the drives may be lost during this process .
Instruction Manual 8 Av ailable R AID C ongurations The NAS enclosure supports 4 dierent RAID congurations . RAID is a storage technology that combines multiple hard drives in to a single unit for secure data redundancy, incr eased volume size and/or improved performance.
Instruction Manual 9 Method 2: Connect the NAS enclosure directly to your comput er (Standard Access) 1. Connect an Ethernet cable (included) from the LAN port on the enclosure to an available LAN port on your computer . 2. Set your computer IP address to an IP addr ess on the same subnet as the NAS Enclosure.
