Chapter 4: AMI BIOS 4-1 Chapter 4 BIOS 4-1 Introduction This chapter describes the AMI BIOS Setup utility for the X9DRG-HF/7TF . It also provides the instructions on how to navigate the AMI BIOS Setup utility screens . The AMI ROM BIOS is stored in a Flash EEPROM and can be easily updated.

This Setup utility can be accessed by pressing <Delete> at the appropriate time during system boot.

Chapter 4: AMI BIOS 4-9 CPU C6 Report (A vailable when Power T echnology is set to Custom) Select Enabled to allow the BIOS to report the CPU C6 State (ACPI C3) to the operating system. During the CPU C6 State, the power to all cache is turned off. The options are Enabled and Disabled.

Chapter 4: AMI BIOS 4-13 Channel Interleaving This feature selects from the different channel interleaving methods. The options are Auto , 1 Way , 2 Way , 3, Way , and 4 W ay . Rank Interleaving This feature allows the user to select a rank memory interleaving method.

Chapter 4: AMI BIOS 4-15 SA T A Mode Use this feature to congure SA T A mode for a selected SA T A port. The options are Disabled, IDE Mode, AHCI Mode and RAID Mode.

The options are Disabled and Enabled . OnChip SCU Option ROM Select Enabled to support the onboard SCU Option ROM to boot up the system via a storage device.
Chapter 4: AMI BIOS 4-17 Maximum Read Request Select Auto to allow the system BIOS to automatically set the maximum Read Request size for a PCI-E device to enhance system performance. The options are Auto , 128 Bytes, 256 Bytes, 512 Bytes, 1024 Bytes, 2048 Bytes, and 4096 Bytes.
