1. Int ended Appli cat ion f or Ultra -Aire 90 H Fo r the ide al instal lation, draw air from the centr al part o f the hom e and retur n it to i solated area s of the home like the bedr ooms, den, utility r oom, or family room. The ductwork of the exis ting heating system ca n be used to suppl y air to the home.
IMPOR T ANT Do not in stall the control panel whe re it may not accu rately sense the relative humidity such as near HV AC suppl y registers , near exte rior door s, on an outsid e wall, near a window , or near a wat er source . The insta ller must supply t he wiring between the UA-90 H and the control p anel.
Isolated Areas: Ef fective d ehumidific ation may re quire that d ucting be branch ed to iso lated, stagnant air fl ow areas. Use 8" or larger diameter branch du cting to each of t wo or thr ee areas, use 6" or larger to each of four or m ore areas .
Crawlspace I nstallati on: Insta ll a sepa rate return for the U A-90H in a cent ral area of the st ructure. Optional: Duct the su pply of t he UA-90H to a 10" x 10" x 1 0" tee/da mper that is 20% open to the crawlspa ce if des ired.
T o determine how each control operates the UA-90 H, it must first be d etermined which co ntrol is being use d and whe ther or not th e 90H is ducted fo r fresh a ir ventil ation. Refer to appropria te sectio n. Humidity/ Fa n Control P anel (P/ N 4024155 ) (Figure 1, p.
4.9 Ve ntilation Timer The venti lation timer controls the fan and the m otorized fresh air dampe r . Wh en the ve ntilation tim er is act ivated, the UA-90H will circ ulate the in door air , and bri ng in fre sh air fr om outsid e. The venti lation timer should b e set for the requ ired vent ilation of the re sidence.
