1 Chapter 1 Introduction The SBP -2000 digital receiv er is fully compliant wit h the inter - national Digital V ideo Broadcasting (D VB) standard, and thus is able to receiv e digital broadcasts of that standard. For its operation y ou need an antenna, which mus t be installed ap- propriately .

12 Setup 2.4.1 Connecting to the antenna Whatev er sort of connection you ha ve betw een the digital receiver and the television, you need to connect t he digital receiver to the antenna so that it can receive digital television broadcasts. Connect t he antenna cable to the LNB IN con- nector .
2.4 Connecting up y our digital receiv er 13 T o use t he HDMI output If you ha v e a high definition television set, y ou should use an HDMI cable for best re- sults. Plug one end of the cable into t he HDMI socket on the digital receiv er , and plug t he other end into the matching socket on y our television.
14 Setup NOTE When connecting with t he Component video cable, remem- ber to also plug in the additional white and red audio cables from the digital receiver to the back of y our tele vision. T o use t he Com posite video output Y ou need to obtain a Composite video cable (R CA cable) to use the Com posite video out- put.
2.5 Switching on for the first time 15 T o enjoy Dolb y Digital audio, y our television or audio-video receiver must be able to de- code Dolby Digital audio, and y ou need to obtain an S/PDIF cable.

18 Ser vice Search 3.1.1 Configuring LNB settings There are tw o large frequency bands for satellite broadcasts. One is C band which ranges appro ximately from 4 to 6 GHz.

20 Ser vice Search 3.1.2 Configuring DiSEqC 1.2 settings Y our motorized antenna will tur n to ward your desired satel- lites horizontally by DiSEqC 1.2. When y ou switch to a ser vice, if it is not provided b y t he current satellite, it will take longer time than usual because t he antenna has to tur n t o its position.

3.1 Searching for broadcasting services 25 6. Set the Modulation op tion to match to that of your de- sired transponder . If the transponder is of the D VB-S2 standar d, you should set this option to D VB-S2 QPSK or D VB-S2 8PSK . Then the FEC op tion and the Pilot option will become enabled.

30 Preference Settings Chapter 4 Preference Settings 4.1 Language settings Y ou can select the language in which t he menu will be dis- pla yed. In addition to t hat, you can select t he language of audio track and of subtitle track. Select the Settings > Language menu.

38 Preference Settings 4.4 P arental control In general, television prog rammes are classified according to the lev el of violence, nudity and language of t heir content. When y ou are watching a programme, you can check its pro- gramme classification on the information box.

52 Organising Services Chapter 6 Organising Ser vices 6.1 Editing t he ser vices list Y ou w ould hav e got the ser vices list after ser vice search. Y ou can rename, mov e, lock or delete ser vice entries on the services list. Select the Edit Services > Edit Ser vice List menu.
6.1 Editing t he services list 53 service entries will be lis ted on t he right column. T o switch back to t he tele vision services lis t, press it again. T o change the name of a service, select the Rename and select a desired service; then t he on-screen ke yboard appears.

There are tw o w ays to fully descramble a scrambled recording so that you can pla y it back without t he subscription card later on.
