[ 26 ] ADJUSTING THE EARPIECE AND HANDSET SPEAKER VOLUME Y ou can select differen t volume levels for th e handset earpiece an d the handset speak er (4 levels: Low to Max). The volum e can only be adjusted during a call. Pr ess / ▲ or ▼ to select th e volume settings .
[ 27 ] TRA VELING OUT -OF-RANGE During a call, as you begin to m ove your handset too far fr om your base unit, noise may in crease . If you pass the ran ge limits of the base unit, you will h ear a beep and “ Out of Range ” appears, then th e handset return s to the stan dby mode .
[ 28 ] NEW MESSAGE LED The new message LED on the han dset is design ed to work with your answering system. The LED flash es when you have new m essages in your answerin g system. The LED stops flashin g when all new m essages are played back (see “ U sing your Answerin g System ” on page 49).

Y our phon e stores nam es/numbers in the ph onebook memory locati on, and you can search n ames in alphabetical or der .
