Appendix B: H.264 Advanced Settin gs 124 ViewCast Settings Setting Explanation BitRateTolerance Setting the bit rate tolerance tells the encoder it mus t hit the target bit rate almost exactly. However, this value can have an adverse effect on quality because you are forcing the encoder to stay at a target bit rate.
Niagara 4100 User Guide ViewCast 125 Setting Explanation setting is the fastest. hex – (hexagon) is the default setting. It uses a si milar strategy to dia, except it uses a range-2 search o f 6 surrounding points. It is considerably more efficient than dia and har dly any slower.
Appendix B: H.264 Advanced Settin gs 126 ViewCast Setting Explanation recommended that you use the default setting of 51 and not 31. QuantizerMaxDiffBetweenFrames This value determines the maximum change quantiz er between two frames. The purpose is to reduce the poss ibility of any large quality jumps in the output video.
Niagara 4100 User Guide ViewCast 127 Other settings Setting Explanation BlurComplexity Apply a Gaussian blur with the given radius to the quantizer curve. This value means the quantizer a ssigned to each frame is blurred temporally with its neighbors to limit quantizer fluctuations.
Appendix B: H.264 Advanced Settin gs 128 ViewCast Setting Explanation quantization. (100 to 1000 for de-noisin g) TrellisRDQuantization This value performs Trellis quantization to increase efficiency. 0 = No quantization 1 = Quantization on final macroblock 2 = Always quantize This value requires CABAC.
