Part 1 . Outlines of EXES-2000 system an d related equipment 1 . Description and f ea t ur e s The T oa EXES-2000 i s a fully electronic intercom system, an d h a s the following features: Wal l mounted exchange. Ea sy system expansion an d addition of functions thanks to the modular concept employed in the design of the exchange.
Central co ntrol unit CC-20: This un it i s comprised o f a C PU that processes th e exchange procedures, a speech link consisting of a voice switch circuit a nd a signa l t one generating ci rc ui t , a nd a pow er cir cu it .
Part 2. Installation of EXES-2000 system Installing and adjusting procedures Follow th e pr ocedures below to install an d adjust the EXES-2000 system: Observe t he following precautions i n installing each equipment: Al lo w f or wei gh t e xe rte d on th e wal l when mounting th e exchange o n it.
4-2 Installation of the exchange Fo llo w the procedures be lo w to insta ll the EX -2 00 exchange: Unscrew 4 sid e scr ews t o remove the top c ase . Fi x the exchange on the wall using fixing holes provided o n the bottom case.
Note (1 ) Since the Y R -8 20 and YR - 8 2 1 cables are to b e use d for connecting the FC- 210 to th e EX -200 exchange, there is a l im it to spacing between th e two units. You should allow fo r t hi s limit an d fi x them according to dimensions shown at rig ht when they are mounted o n the wall.
Follow th e procedures below to install the PU-200: Re mov e 4 c as e fixing screw s a n d fit t he at t ached wa ll mounting kit. Fi x o n the wal l. I n the event that unit is mounted on the wall with wood screws, u se the attached screws.
4-5 Installation of S tatio ns To install stations, mak e connections b y using station ja c k model YC-601 (Wall-mounted type) or YC-603 (Flush-mounted type). Since the length of station cor d i s 3 meters (9. 8 feet), t he station jack needs to be mounted within thi s length.
Us e 2-conductor telephone or interphone cables for connection fro m th e exchange to the statio n. B e sure to us e a multi-pair twisted cable such as a n indoor cable a n d CCP-(A)P cable when the connection i s m a d e v ia the external terminal board.
6. Connection of equipment 6-1 Addition of LM unit A basic system us in g t he E X- 200 exchange is comprised o f 8 stations (2 L M u nit s). The LM unit needs to be added according t o the following procedures when more stations are required.

T he following list shows relationships between the CN 2 number an d the sta tio n number. Note Protectors attached to the L M units mounted i n the exchange are shock absorbers used only during transit.
