Remove any residual tape from the pipe nipples a nd fittings and coat the threads wi th new gas-rated (y ellow) Te flon tape. The ov en will not operate unless it is connected to an elec trical pow er supply. Convection Ove n Solenoid The solenoid is a n ormally closed sw itch that opens and closes the gas val ve.
