Page 11 Page 11 of 72 UTY4422-002 SECTION 1 GENERAL INFORMATION 1.1 GENERAL The purpose of this manual is to describe the proper installation and operation of the Wegener Communications UNITY4422 MPEG Video Decoder. 1.2 INTRODUCTION The UNITY 4422 unit is an MPEG decoder designed to receive its input from a DVB-ASI input source.

Each of these methods of control is explained in the following sections, but you should see the COMPEL manual for a complete explanation of the COMPEL system .
Page 34 UTY4422-002 Page 34 of 72 3.7 SERIAL PORT - COMMAND SYNT AX The UNITY4422 contains two serial ports. These are labeled Serial Port 1 and Serial Port 2. Each can support a printer, a terminal, a modem , or an auxiliary data device. However, there are restrictions as to what device combinations can be used at one time.
