Here is a brief explana- tion of the symbol. This symbol alerts you to hazards such as fire, electrical shock, or other injuries.

Washer Installation Use this section to help you install your compact washer. If you need assistance, call our Consumer Assistance Center, l-800-253-1301, from anywhere in the U.S.A. Portable one-faucet connection NOTE: Make sure the lid is closed before moving the washer.
l Rinse Water: Adjust faucets for tempera- ture prior to fill for rinse. NOTE: Always use cold rinse water for permanent press fabrics. To disconnect washer: l Unplug the electrical power cord and put it back in its storage area. l Turn the water faucet off.
To connect the washer: l Connect the hot and cold water inlet hoses to the hot and cold faucets. l Secure the drain hose to the sink or standpipe. l Slowly turn the water faucets on all the way. l Plug the power cord into a 3-prong grounded outlet.
