7 Con vection Elem ent and F an The oven’ s convection system is composed of a convecti on element, w hich heats in conju nction with the convecti on fan for true convect ion cooking. The convection system is embedded in the wall of t he oven cavit y , behind the protective sc reen.
8 Convect ion Rack The short convec tion rack is design ed to be used with t he convection elemen t and fan for true convection cooking. Se e “Convection - Bake ” and “Convection - Roast” sectio ns. Place the convect ion rack on t he tur ntable, an d position dish with food on the rack.
9 OVEN CONTROL The oven’ s controls are accessed t hrough its control pane l and intera ctive tou ch display . NOTE : Due to th e sensitiv ity of the co ntrol panel, we have provided speci al instruct ions for cle aning the pan el as well as the touc h screen displa y .
10 Main M enu The Ma in Me nu is di splayed on the default scr een. From th e Main Menu, all automatic cooking progr ams can be activat ed; all manual cooking can be programmed; setti ngs can be a djusted; and i nstruct ions, p re par ation and tips can be accessed.

13 Display Backlight Disp lay back light m ay be se t to reduc e brig htness or to tu rn off during sl eep mode. Sleep mode i s an energy-saving feature that darkens the displ ay back light after 2 m inutes of inac tivity .
14 Ti m er The Timer can be set in minute s and second s, up to 99 minutes, 59 seconds, and counts down the set ti me. NOTE : The Timer does not start or stop the oven. The Timer countdown can be se en in full screen or in minimized view . In minimized view, the countdown is alw ays visib le.
15 Night L ight The Night Li ght contro l button tu rns on the cooktop light at the lowest setting. While the Night Light is on, the Light control may still be used to brigh ten the c ooktop. When the cooktop light is turned off, the Night Light wi ll st ill be on.
16 Cookin g Guideline s Covering Covering food helps r etain moisture, shorten cook t i me and reduce spatteri ng. Use the l id suppli ed with cookw are. If a lid is not availab le, wax pape r , pap er towels or plas tic wrap approved for microwave ovens may be used.

18 MANUAL COOKING Add 30 Seconds The ADD 30 SEC. control automatical ly starts th e oven at 100 % power for 30 seconds, and adds 30 secon ds of cook time, up to 10 minutes, with each additi onal touch of the control. Time may be added in 30-second incr ements by touching AD D 30 SEC.

20 Cooking in St ages ( or steps) Manual c ooking may be done in stages (or s teps), up to 4 stages total. The first stage may be programmed us ing any of the manual controls. The s tages may be reviewed at any time during programming and /or cooking by touching “Review S teps” on the touch s creen.
21 Preh eating Preheating of the ov en is programmed in some automati c convection an d/or combination cycles. Preheat ing may be skip ped af ter it has st arted by to uchin g “Skip Pr eheat” on the touch s creen. Preheating of the S izzle Pan is programmed in many automat ic cooking cycle s.
22 Rehe at The Reheat menu has 8 main food categories, plus a shortcu t to Manual Rehe at (see “Time/T emp/Powe r Cooking” section). Reheat uses only microwaves to heat the fo od. See “Cook Meth od Chart” for food it em details, such as specifi c food items available, sensor functions and amounts.

32 Replacing F ilters The grease filters should be removed and cleaned at least once a month. The charcoal fil ters canno t be washed and s hould be replaced every 6 t o 12 months.
