4 Preparing the camera for use English Charging the batter y The battery charge status affects the camera performance . To maximi ze the perfor mance and the battery life, fully charge the battery via a wall outlet (or a comp uter), and then fully discharge it through normal use at least once.

6 Preparing the camera for use English U sing an SD card The camera comes with i nternal memory for st oring captured images, video clips, or audio files. Capture mode 11 English Flash mode The flash offers additional light source (usua lly used in a l ow-ligh t environment). You can capture an image using one of the following flash modes. T o select a flash m ode: 1. Go to the Capture mode. 2. Keep pressing to toggle among dif ferent flash modes and select a desired option.

Capture mode 17 English Shutter Priority Y ou can choose a shutter speed, while the aperture value is automatical ly determined by the lighting condition of the subject. Manual Lets you set both apertur e and shutter speed manually . Smile Catch Automatically takes a shot when a smile is detected.
18 Capture mode English Night Scene Captures photos in a low-light environment, such as in the evening or at night. Night Portrait S hoots night scenes and portra its clearly . Please keep the camera steady or use a tripod while using this mode. Self Portrait T akes a self portrait with at least one face in a confined area.
Capture mode 19 English Snow Used under a very bright light environment su ch as snow scenes. Fireworks Adds exposure time to shoot firework trails. Please keep the camera steady or use a tripod while using this mode. Building Enhances lines & contra cts to highlight t he sense of the three dimensions (3D) for a building.

Capture mode 25 English Smil e Ca tch Captures an image when the subject smiles. 1. Press > > Shooting Mode and select Smile Catch . 2. The camera is tracking the face of your subject (a whit e frame shows). 3. Once a smile is detected, the camera inst antly takes a picture.
26 Capture mode English 3. Press the shutter to capture the first shot. 4. A guidance bar appears on top of the screen. The screen icon indicates the location of the current screen. Pan the camera following the guidance arrow . 5. Once the screen icon overlaps the green block, the camera will automatically t ake the second shot.
