Operation 34 Using the menus The projector is equipp ed with On-Screen Displa y (OSD) menus for making various adjusents an d settings. Below is the ov erview of the OSD menu. The following example describes ho w to set the OSD language. 1. Press MENU/EXIT on the projector or remote contr o l to turn the OSD menu on.
Operation 35 Securing the pr ojector Using a security cable lock The projector has to be installed in a safe pl ace to prev ent theft. Otherwise, purchase a lock, such as the K ensington lock, to secur e the projector . Y ou can locate a K ensington lock slot on the rear side of the pr ojector .

Operation 39 Selecting the aspect ratio The 'aspect ratio' is the ratio of the image width to the image height. With the advent of digital signal processing, digital displa y devices lik e this projector can dynamically stretch and scale the image output to a different aspect than that of the image input signal.
Operation 40 4. 16:9 : Scales an image so that it is displa yed in the center of the screen with a 16:9 aspect ratio . This is most suitable for images which are alr ead y in a 16:9 aspect, like high definition TV , as it displa ys them without aspect alteration.
Operation 41 Setting the User 1/User 2 mode There ar e two user -definable mode s if the current a vailable picture modes are not suitable for y our need. Y ou can use one of the pictur e modes (except the User 1/User 2) as a starting point and customize the settings.
Operation 42 Adjusting Sharpness The higher the value, the sharper the pictur e becomes. The lowe r the value, the softer the picture becomes . Adjusting Brilliant C olor This feature utilizes a new color -processing algorithm and system level enhancements to enable higher brightness while pro viding truer , more vibrant colors in picture.

Operation 47 Utilizing F A Q function The INFORMATION menu contains possible solutions to problems encounter ed by users regarding image quality , installation , special feature operation and servic e information.
Operation 48 Operating in a high altitude en vir onment W e recommend you use the High Alti tude Mode when your en vironment is between 1500 m –3000 m above sea le vel, and ambient temperatur e is between 0°C–35°C. Do not use the High Altitude Mode if your altitude is betw e en 0 m and 1500 m and ambient temperature is between 0°C and 35°C.
Operation 49 2. Highlight Power on/off Ring Ton e and sele ct Off. The only wa y to change P o wer on/off ring tone is setting On or Off here. Setting the sound mute or changing the sound le vel will not affect the P ower on/off ring tone.

Operation 60 Displa ying ima g e thr ough Q Presenter The Q Pr esenter is an a pplication running on the host PC . It connects to an available network displa y and transfers the desktop co ntents to the network displa y via local network connection. Be sure to turn off other vir tual network control programs before using Q Pr e senter .
