Preparing Y our Phone For U se 1 Pr eparing Y our Phone Fo r U se Inser t ing a SIM Card 1. T urn the phone o ver , and release the batt ery latch. Li ft the batt ery off the phone. 2. Slide the SIM car d in under the me tal plat e in the SIM card slot, with the SIM ca rd's metal contacts facing down and the cut corner at the top r igh t.

With the batt ery's metal contacts facing down, align the protruding tabs on the end with the holes in the battery bay of the phone. Then push the batt ery toward the e nd of the ba y to insert the batt ery's tabs into the holes .

EMS allows y our to insert simple graphics and ring tones in your messag e, while MMS enables yo u to send photos, c olored imag es and music using your phone.
Using Y our Phone 63 • If there is a flashi ng icon on the external display , and the main display shows a red icon , this means that the SIM card 's message memory is full. When the SIM card's memor y is full, your phone will not be able to receive any new messag es.
